JEFFERSON COUNTY - Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a developmentally-disabled man who went missing Saturday - the second time in as many months.

State officials say 42-year-old Shelton Cooper when missing between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. and was last seen at 10777 W. Peakview Dr. in Littleton.

Authorities say Cooper is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and no teeth.

Cooper is said to function at the capacity of a 5-year-old and needs to take his medication. He does not have a vehicle, but authorities say he does take the bus.

Cooper also went missing on Dec. 14.

If anyone has any information about Cooper's whereabouts, call the Jefferson County Sheriff's office at 303-277-0211.

Police Need Help Finding Mentally Disabled Man

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo.

The Jefferson County Sheriff Department is asking for the public's help finding a missing mentally disabled man.

Police said Shelton Cooper, 42, has the mental capacity of a child. He disappeared after breakfast Saturday morning.

He's about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.

Sheriffs brought in a canine unit to track him to a bus stop. They say he likes to ride the busses and used to live in Park Hill.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff Department.

I can't find anything on Mr. Cooper that isn't already here. :( I hope if he hasn't been found that he is safe.
