PALM HARBOR - Pinellas County sheriff's deputies are searching tonight for a 51-year-old man who has gone missing from his Palm Harbor home.
Leo C. Dyer III went missing just after 2 p.m. Monday after he left his house at 510 Channel Court, deputies say.
Dyer went out for what was supposed to be a 15-minute walk and never returned home, authorities say. His brother, Paul Dyer, reported him missing about 4 p.m.
Leo Dyer has a health condition which requires taking medications at regular times during the day, deputies say. Without access to the medication, Dyer is considered endangered, according to the sheriff's office.
He is 5-feet 8-inches tall and weighs about 150. He has blue eyes, short dark brown hair on the sides and back of his head and bald on top. Dyer has an unkempt or scraggly mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a brown suede or leather jackets, blue jeans and cowboy boots.

PALM HARBOR -- A 51-year-old man in blue jeans and cowboy boots is missing today after disappearing from his Palm Harbor home during what was supposed to be a 15-minute walk Monday afternoon, deputies said this morning.
Leo Dyer III left the home he shares with his brother Paul Dyer at 510 Channel Court about 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Dyer called deputies two hours later and told them his brother had not returned from what he said was to be a short walk, they said.
Dyer must take medicine regularly throughout the day due to unspecified medical conditions. Deputies said he may be in danger without the medications.
Dyer is 5'8" and about 150 pounds. He's bald with a ring of short, dark-brown hair on the sides and back of his head. He has blue eyes and a scraggly mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a brown suede or leather jacket, blue jeans and cowboy boots.

Dyer lives with his brother, who reported him missing after he failed to return from the walk two hours later.
Deputies consider Dyer endangered because he suffers from medical conditions which require him to take medications at regular times throughout the day.
Dyer is 5'8" tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has blue eyes. He is bald on top and has short dark brown hair on sides and back of his head.
Dyer is described as having an unkempt or scraggly mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a brown suede or leather jacket, blue jeans and cowboy boots.

A Palm Harbor man who was reported missing Monday turned up in Tarpon Springs this morning, Pinellas Sheriff's authorities said.
Leo C. Dyer III, 51, who is on several medications, told deputies he went for a walk Monday but couldn't find his way home, authorities said. When it started getting dark, he removed some cardboard from a trash bin and used it for shelter in a wooded area until he awakened and started walking again, they said.
Dyer, who lives with his brother at 510 Channel Court, vanished at 2 p.m. Monday, authorities said. He was found near East Lake Road and Keystone Road in an unincorporated part of Tarpon Springs at 8 a.m. today.
A citizen had heard a description of Dyer on a local radio station and reported seeing a man matching it who was walking along East Lake Road, authorities said. Dyer did not require medical treatment and was returned home.

PALM HARBOR – Deputies have located a missing Palm Harbor man with the help of a local radio station listener.
According to the sheriff’s office, a citizen spotted Leo Dyer III walking near intersection of East Lake Road and Keystone Road in the unincorporated area of Tarpon Springs Tuesday morning, recognized him from the news report and called deputies.
Dyer, 51, was reported missing Monday afternoon after he left his home in the 500 block of Channel Court in Palm Harbor to go for a walk and never returned.
Deputies said Dyer told them he had gone for a walk and could not find his way home, so he removed some cardboard from a dumpster and used it for shelter in a wooded area where he slept overnight.
Deputies had considered Dyer endangered because he suffers from medical conditions which require him to take medications at regular times throughout the day.
Dyer was returned home safely.
