It appears his body was found in our local lake. This is about 15 miles (I think) from where he was last seen. May God bless his family with comfort.

Fingerprints and a driver’s license have identified a man’s body found floating in a San Jacinto mountain lake last week. Sheriff’s investigators say the death of Rick Henry Macias, 34, of Brea is suspicious. But, they are tight-lipped about how Macias wound-up in Lake Fulmore or the circumstances of his death.

Banning man arrested in case of body found near Pine Cove
11:04 PM PDT on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
The Press-Enterprise
Riverside County sheriff's homicide detectives have arrested a Banning man in connection with the death of a Brea man whose body was found floating in a lake near Pine Cove last week.
Sheriff's deputies found the Brea man floating in Lake Fulmor, near Pine Cove and Idyllwild on March 4. A sheriff's dive team recovered the body and coroner's officials conducted an autopsy last Friday.
Coroner's officials identified the man as Rick Macias, 33, of Brea, who was reported missing in January by his family in Brea. The cause of death was ruled as blunt force trauma, according to a sheriff's report.
Brea police investigating Macias disappearance were told that he was last known to be in the Banning Pass area on New Years Eve, homicide detectives said. Brea police served a search warrant at a home in Poppet Flats where they found evidence of foul play.
Sheriff's Central Homicide detectives believe that Macias was killed at the Poppet Flats home and his body was later dumped in Lake Fulmor, according to a sheriff's report.
Detectives arrested Jason Runnels 32, of Banning on suspicion of murder and are looking for additional suspects, sheriff's officials said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call sheriff's homicide detectives. 760-393-3500.
