One game I used to really like on CTV was "Interview the poster below you". Anyone interested in that? You start out with a question the poster below has to answer. Example: "What is one place you always wanted to visit and why?" Then the person would answer and pose a question to the next poster, like "What was your favorite TV show as a child?"

The cool thing about the game is you could answer as in-depth as you like, and the bottom line is you got to learn about different posters and something about them and their personalities. A sort of "get to know you" game.

I lived in eastern Oregon in a little place called Joseph. I know where you live. we drove to Portland and took the Salem exit and drove to the beaches and stayed at Newport for 4 days. We have a favorite motel there, with great food and room service. We do some shopping and met up with some friends. It was all good. We needed that get away after Christmas. to much family can drive a person MAD!

I love the Oregon coast!...It's beautiful...I use to travel over there for work and stay at Salishan Resort by Lincoln City...I had to look up Joseph...It's beautiful!....It's a little town like where I grew up in Lakeview Oregon...LOL

and it's close enough to New York City

Could be the city has finally driven him "round the bend," as they say!! My grandson loves Philadelphia; but I certainly wouldn't want to live in the city. Come visit me in Florida - not today, though - it's VERY hot and hurricane season! Actually, my DD lived in Collegeville when my GS was growing up. They live in Tampa now.

I'm packing my family pictures which I cannot bear to lose so that I can send them over to my DIL's house for safekeeping from IKE. He is not so near as yet; but, his track looks ominous and I know that my son and DIL will have their hands full looking after their own house in the days ahead.:francis:

We have made no decision on evacuation as yet. We will decide when we see the final track and listen to what the experts say. We MUST depend on them and I pray they know what they are doing!!:francis:

Hi everyone. There is a case in the Death Penalty thread that I would love for everyone to read. Larry Swearingen is due to be executed in 15 days. Evidence has been brought forward that shows his innocence, or at a minimum shows that he needs a stay of execution so that DNA can be run. Whether you are for or against the DP, I think we all agree that we do not want to take a chance and put the wrong person to death. Please just take a few minutes to read the case, and if you agree please send an e-mail to the Governor's office. The address for the Governor's office is on the thread. Thanks so much. Wheezer

I'm not sure, I know that by 1pm my time they are already on the other shows, maybe they are having problems getting into court rooms.

Well, you being very "long-winded" adds to the thread, so please don't go shy on us now, ex-arkie. I lived in Florida for a short spell back in the early 70's. The bugs were terrible down there......but the state I loved. Makes me think of my youth again. Great beaches......great food.......great music.
