TECUMSEH, Okla. —
Local, state and federal authorities are searching for a 14-year-old Tecumseh girl who hasn’t been seen since Monday morning and is believed to be with a 40-year-old man who has a warrant issued for his arrest.
Tecumseh Police Lt. J.R. Kidney said the teen, identified as Deborah Kalai Fourzan, has been missing since 8 a.m. Monday morning.
Fourzan, a freshman, was last seen at Tecumseh High School and is believed to be with James Reimer, 40, who is from the Tecumseh area, Kidney said.
Reimer was charged Tuesday in Pottawatomie County District Court with soliciting sexual conduct or communications with a minor by use of technology in the form of text messages. An arrest warrant has been issued for Reimer in the amount of $100,000, Kidney said. Police believe Fourzan left with him but feel she is endangered because of her age, Kidney said.
“She probably went with the subject willingly but we feel she could be in danger,” he said.
Tecumseh police were notified about this case by her family late Monday afternoon when Fourzan didn’t get off the school bus, Kidney said.
Reimer was allegedly employed at the Spring Hill Store at SH 102 and SH 9, where Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s deputies are also investigating a burglary and theft of cash that was reported about 4:30 p.m. Monday, Kidney said.
After talking to her friends, Kidney said police believe the duo may be headed to California, but police have no vehicle description. The FBI is also working this case with Tecumseh police and authorities are looking for leads in finding them.
“We’re in dire need of a vehicle description,” Kidney said, adding police want to talk with anyone that may have seen Fourzan or have any information about her whereabouts.
Fourzan is described as being 5 feet, two inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Reimer is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing about 280 pounds. He has brown hair and blue yes.
State and federal bulletins have been issued in this case, and Fourzan has been listed as a missing person.
Anyone who has seen Fourzan or Reimer or those with any information about the case should call Tecumseh police at 405-598-9300 or 405-598-2115.
Any sightings should be reported to local police in that area by calling 911.

Why can't these men just accept that they are getting old. I swear it's like a midlife crisis madness where they think they're still 14/15 yrs old and prey on these children. :puke::puke::puke:
I wish we could put shock collars on them so they can't leave their houses. Have a social service agency delivery their food, doctors can make house calls or better yet just keep their sorry butts in jail.
Sorry folks for the rant but it really is getting worse and our children are just not safe anymore.

Police Still Believe Missing Teen With 40-Year-Old Man
Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, Last Seen At 8 A.M. At Tecumseh High School
UPDATED: 3:21 pm CST February 4, 2009
A Tecumseh teenager is still missing Wednesday night, and police still believe Deborah Kalai Fourzan is with 40-year-old James Joseph Reimer.
The teen's mother said Reimer used to be considered a family friend.
"I don't know how long this was going behind my back. I'm beside myself," said Crystal Vanbuskirk.
Fourzan, 14, was last seen at 8 a.m. at Tecumseh High School. The girl's parents told police they took her to school on Tuesday but that she never attended any classes.
Police Detective J.R. Kidney said officers have been told she is with Reimer but that there is no definitive proof of it.
"He's 40-years-old, she's 14. We just don't believe that is a good combination and can have a good result," Kidney said.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Reimer, who is accused of texting sexual content to Fourzan.
The convenience store where Reimer worked -- Spring Hill Grocery, near the intersection of highways 9 and 102 -- reported a cash theft on Monday afternoon. Officers said that several thousand dollars were taken from the store.
"Just bring her home, just let her come home," Deborah's mother Crystal Vanbuskirk said.
Vanbuskirk said she found several text messages from Reimer on her daughter’s cell phone. The family said they used to consider Reimer a close family friend.
"The messages just kept coming in and coming in and coming in. There were thirty-plus messages of him calling her his lover. ‘I love you. How come you're not calling me back?’ He did not know she was grounded from her phone this time," Vanbuskirk said.
Detectives said they were investigating Reimer when he disappeared Monday morning.
Deborah’s friends said she told them she was leaving town with Reimer.
Students at Tecumseh High School told detectives they believe Reimer might have taken Fourzan to California.
The girl’s mother said the family is just staying positive and hoping for the best.
"She's 14-years-old. She needs to be home with her family," Vanbuskirk said.

Authorities still looking for Tecumseh teen believed to be with wanted man
Published: February 4, 2009Buzz up!
TECUMSEH — Authorities today are sorting through dozens of leads on the whereabouts of a missing Tecumseh teenager, but haven’t found her or the 40-year-old man she is thought to be with.
Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, has been missing since 8 a.m. Monday. Police think she is with James Reimer. A warrant was issued Tuesday for Reimer’s arrest in connection with Fourzan’s disappearance.
Authorities said it appears Fourzan went willingly with Reimer.
Tecumseh Police Chief Gary Crosby said before her disappearance her parents found Reimer had been sending their daughter sexually explicit text messages. He said they took the cell phone away from her, but Reimer gave her a new one so that he could continue to communicate with her.
Crosby said police have tried to contact her on that cell phone, but the calls go straight to voice mail. Family members have not heard from her since her disappearance.
Authorities have received numerous tips on possible sightings of the pair. Wednesday morning, police were searching for a U-Haul truck on Interstate 40 that a caller claimed to have seen them in. The truck was never found.
Crosby said the duo may be responsible for a burglary that occurred Monday at a convenience store where Reimer worked.
Fourzan is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds and has long blond hair and brown eyes. Reimer is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 280 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information can call 598-9300, or 598-2115.

Missing Girl, Suspect Sought
Law enforcement officials are searching statewide and beyond for a 14-year-old Tecumseh High School girl who is believed to have run away with a 40-year-old local man with whom she has been exchanging sexually explicit text messages.
Tecumseh Police Chief Gary Crosby said Deborah Kalai Fourzan, a THS freshman, told friends she was going to California with James Reimer, who she was to meet at Granny Stephens on West Walnut in Tecumseh at 8 a.m. Monday morning. Neither has been seen or heard from since.
Reimer, 35700 Sandy Rock Road, Tecumseh, was an employee of Spring Hill Convenience Store at Hwy. 9 and Hwy. 102, where about $6,000 was discovered missing Monday morning. There was no forced entry, and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department suspects Reimer took the money.
“It’s circumstantial, but we believe he’s involved,” said Sheriff’s Investigator Travis Palmer.
Crosby said Reimer’s car is apparently disabled and the two are believed to have been traveling by some other means. They did not purchase bus tickets in Shawnee, Palmer said.
Reimer is a family friend, Crosby said, and he and the girl had been exchanging sexually explicit messages by cell phone. Her mother discovered what was going on and took away the phone, Crosby said, but Reimer apparently bought her another one.
“The messages are pretty bad,” said Palmer. “There are things most people wouldn’t say to another consenting adult.” Reimer has been charged with “solicitation, sexual conduct or communication with minor by use of technology,” Palmer said. County deputies had been investigating the text messages for about a week, he said. A warrant was obtained Tuesday morning.
Although the case does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert, law enforcement agencies statewide have been notified to watch for them, and the FBI was monitoring the situation Tuesday. “The FBI can’t become officially involved until we prove they cross state lines,” Palmer said. He confirmed that should that happen, Reimer could face kidnapping and other charges because of the girl’s age.
Palmer said that even though it’s clear the girl went with Reimer willingly, “we’re concerned that she may not turn out to be a willing partner.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Reimer or the girl is urged to contact the Tecumseh Police Department, 598-3755, or the Sheriff’s Department, 275-2526.

Fourteen-year-old Deborah Kalai Fourzan has been missing since 8 a.m. Monday and is believed to have left willingly with James Reimer.

TECUMSEH, Okla. -- A missing Tecumseh teen is believed to be headed to Austin, Texas, according to information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, has been missing since Tuesday. Tecumseh police and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Department both confirmed to Eyewitness News 5 that Fourzan is believed to be with James Joseph Reimer, 40, and headed to an anime convention in Austin
The Ikkicon anime convention is scheduled to be held at the Austin Hilton hotel from Feb. 6 through 8.
The teen's mother said Reimer used to be considered a family friend.
"I don't know how long this was going behind my back. I'm beside myself," said Crystal Vanbuskirk.
Fourzan, 14, was last seen at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Tecumseh High School. The girl's parents told police they took her to school but that she never attended any classes.
Police Detective J.R. Kidney said officers have been told she is with Reimer but that there is no definitive proof of it.
"He's 40 years old, she's 14. We just don't believe that is a good combination and can have a good result," Kidney said.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Reimer, who is accused of texting sexual content to Fourzan.
Reimer was arrested in 1990 on suspicion of assaulting a police officer in Gregg County, Texas. He currently faces charges in Pottawatamie County of using text messaging to solicit sexual contact with a minor.
The convenience store where Reimer worked -- Spring Hill Grocery, near the intersection of highways 9 and 102 -- reported a cash theft on Monday afternoon. Officers said that several thousand dollars were taken from the store.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) reports that 14-year-old Deborah Kalai Fourzan disappeared on Monday from her hometown of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and "is believed to be traveling to California with James Reimer," a man who also lives in Oklahoma. According to the KVUE television station in Texas, investigators learned from Fourzan's schoolmates that the two "were heading to various anime conventions en-route to California." The two are reportedly first heading to the Ikkicon anime convention, which takes place at the Austin Hilton Hotel in Texas from February 6 to 9. The NCMEC is asking for the public's help in finding Fourzan and Reimer.
Fourzan was last seen when she was dropped off for school on Monday morning. She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has blue eyes, pierced ears, and a birthmark on the back of her arm, but the NCMEC says that she may dye her blonde hair black. Reimer, who goes by his nickname Jim, was also last seen on Monday. The 40-year-old is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 280 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes, and a beard, but he may shave his beard off.
Authorities advise anyone who sees the two individuals to not approach them, but to contact the Austin Police Department. A felony warrant is on file for Reimer.

Police continue search for missing Tecumseh teen, 40-year-old
Published: February 7, 2009
TECUMSEH — The mother of a missing Tecumseh teenager said her daughter may have been lured into leaving home with promises of attending an anime convention.
Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, has been missing since Monday. Authorities think she is with 40-year-old James Joseph Reimer, a former family friend.
Fourzan’s mother, Crystal Vanbuskirk, said Fourzan has never been in trouble and leaving home is out of her character.
"She may have gone willingly with him, but as far as I’m concerned she’s been kidnapped,” Vanbuskirk said.
Deborah’s parents recently discovered Reimer had been sending Fourzan sexually explicit text messages. They notified police and warned Reimer to stay away from her.
Vanbuskirk said police questioned Reimer, but nothing was done until her daughter turned up missing. Reimer was charged Tuesday in Pottawatomie County District Court in connection with the text messages.
Crow said that through interviews with people who know Reimer, they’ve found he has a history of violence against women.
Fourzan’s friends told authorities she left school Monday morning with plans to travel to an anime convention in California.
Reimer and Fourzan share an interest in the Japanese animation, and Fourzan left home that morning with a black backpack filled with anime costumes, Vanbuskirk said.
Authorities are checking anime conventions across the United States, including one this weekend in Austin, Texas, Tecumseh police spokesman Billy Crow said.
Vanbuskirk said she and her husband have known Reimer for about five years. She said he had been like an uncle to their daughter.
Crow said Reimer is the chief suspect in a burglary Sunday at a convenience store where he worked. Several thousand dollars were stolen, he said.
Tecumseh police Let. J.R. Kidney said he believes the pair is driving a ’90s white Mercury Cougar with front-end damage.

Oklahoma Teen Believed To Be With Fugitive
On Feb. 2, 2009, 14-year-old Deborah Kalai Fourzan was dropped off at her high school in Tecumseh, Okla. at 8:00 a.m., but she never made it to her classes.
Police say she told friends that she was leaving with a family friend named "Jim" to attend an Anime convention in California.
But what the friends didn't know is that Deborah's parents weren't aware of her daughter's plans. "Jim" is actually 40-year-old James Joseph Reimer, and Deborah's family had known him for almost five years.
Cops fear Reimer may have lured and manipulated Deborah to come with him to the Anime convention with darker intentions.
In the middle of January 2009, Deborah's parents had discovered sexually explicit text messages on their daughter's phone, allegedly coming from Reimer.
Reimer is now charged with Soliciting Sexual Conduct Or Communication With Minor By Use Of Technology, and cops believe Deborah may be in danger.
Reimer has a left tattoo on his left arm and smokes Grand Prix or Tucson cigarettes.
Family, Cops Say It's Urgent They Find Deborah
Cops believe Reimer and Deborah may be traveling in a white 1994 Mercury Cougar with Oklahoma license plates VRW932. The car has significant front end damage.
Reimer has a tattoo on his left arm and smokes Grand Prix or Tucson cigarettes.
Deborah may dye her hair black, has a birthmark on the back of her arm, and goes by her middle name, Kalai. She loves wearing a long black trench coat with a fur collar.
Deborah's mother, Chrystal Vanbuskirk, says that she never suspected Deborah would do something like this.
"This is so not like her," Chrystal says. She also says that Reimer was a good friend of the family and that he was like "an uncle to my daughter."
However, she is convinced that Reimer lured and manipulated Deborah to take off with him, and is afraid that even though she may have gone with him willingly at the beginning, once she wants to come home, Reimer won't let her.
Chrystal only hopes that somebody will call with information that will help authorities to bring her daughter back.
"She has two little sisters that miss her so much," says Chrystal, who won't give up until Deborah is back home safe.

It would scare me to death to be raising a teenage girl today. They are such masters at covering up what they are up to....appearing to be whatever you "need" them to be. We deal with a 14 yr. old girl in the neighborhood quite a lot....and I would like to grab her mom by the shoulders and shake her till she wakes up. The girl tells us some of the worst tales just to appear grown to us. This girl is 5'10" and looks like a grownup....a prime target for perverts. Attention from any male makes her melt like hot butter. Scary. Everybody out there with teen girls need to take a new, realistic look at their girls and the world those girls exist in. I just hope Deborah decides she is sick of this old pervert, and makes a call home.
TV viewers’ assistance sought in finding Tecumseh teen
Published: February 26, 2009Buzz up!
TECUMSEH — Authorities have enlisted the help of "America’s Most Wanted” to find a missing Tecumseh teenager and a 40-year-old man accused of luring her from home.
Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, has been missing for five weeks. She is thought to have gone willingly with James Joseph Reimer, although police and her family fear for her safety.
"We need all the help we can get at this point, and urge anyone that knows anything to come forward,” police Detective J.R. Kidney said.
"America’s Most Wanted” will feature the pair on its show at 8 p.m. Saturday on the Fox network.
The show’s Web site already has Reimer on its wanted list, along with details of Fourzan’s disappearance.
"America’s Most Wanted” considers it a serious case because of the time Deborah has been missing and who she is with, associate producer Carolina Alban-Stoughton said.
"Missing children have always been a priority for us,” Alban-Stoughton said. "To quote one of the police officers on this case, ‘A 14-year-old girl and 40-year-old man is not a good combination.’”
Kidney said Reimer bought a car for $400 the day before the pair disappeared. The white, 1994 Mercury Cougar has severe front end damage, but ran well, he said. It has Oklahoma tag VRW932.
Reimer is wanted by authorities in connection with sexually explicit text messages Fourzan received. He was charged in Pottawatomie County District Court after the girl was reported missing.
The girl has not contacted family members or friends, authorities said.
She was last seen at Tecumseh High School, where she told friends she planned to go with Reimer to an anime convention.

Missing Tecumseh Girl
Posted: February 26, 2009.
A mother's tears show the frustration and pain she is feeling.
"It's like a flashback, you see her when she's little, you see her when she's getting a little bigger. It's like a flashback and I just want her home."
It was days after Kalai's disappearance when officials finally received a solid lead. This picture was taken at an animae convention in Austin, Texas, 2 weeks ago. But by the time officials were able to verify this is Jim Reimer in the picture, it was too late.
"The police sent word down to the animae convention to the people that were running it, he had to check in to get in he had to pay at the gate to get in. One would have thought someone would have seen them and called," said Richard Vanbuskirk, Kalai's Stepfather.
Her parents say they won't ever give up their search and officials say as time goes on they fear for Kalai's safety.
"It's very frustrating for her safety, several agencies have put in many man hours, still haven't come up with anything. So it's very frustrating and as time goes on the more dangerous it becomes," said Asst. Chief Bill Crow, Tecumseh Police Department.
Officials say wherever Kalai and Reimer are, they are traveling in this white cougar. Their story will be featured this Saturday on America's Most Wanted. Her parents hope that night, someone will recognize Kalai and they can put this nightmare behind them.
"I'm hoping that night, we get it resolved," said Vanbuskirk.
Her parents say they feel helpless in this situation and they're not sure why this happened. They say without Kalai their family is incomplete.
"There's a piece of the puzzle missing, there's a piece of the family missing. Come home, just come home Kalai," said Vanbuskirk.

AUSTIN - A 14-year-old girl, who police believe is on the run with a 40-year-old man, may be here in the Austin area. Police say they've been getting a lot of reports from people saying they've seen Deborah "Kalai" Fourzan in the past few days and they're tracking down leads.
14-year-old Kalai Fourzan left home more than four weeks ago. Now police in Tecumesh, Oklahoma, where the girl is from, have received numerous tips from people saying they've seen her here in Austin, and they're getting help from APD.
Kalai Fourzan was dropped off at her high school in Tecumseh on the morning of February 2, but she never made it to class. Kalai loves anime cartoons, and she told a friend she was leaving with "Jim," a family friend to go to an anime convention in California. Police believe "Jim" is 40-year-old James Joseph Reimer. He has known the Fourzan family for several years.
Last Saturday, "American's Most Wanted" ran a segment about the missing girl. Just before Kalai's disappearance, her mother found sexually explicit text messages on Kalai's phone, allegedly from Reimer.
Police brought him in for questioning and he told them he and Kalai were role-playing stories from anime cartoons. Before police could get an arrest warrant for him, Reimer took off. There was an anime convention scheduled in Austin just a few days after Kalai left.
We spoke with a detective in Tecumesh shortly after her and Reimer's disappearance.
"she kind of looks up to him as a father figure," said the detective."He when interviewed by the sheriff's office indicated he was counseling her, but due to the sexually nature of text messages makes us think he has different intentions than being a father figure."
After "America's Most Wanted" aired, police in Tecumesh say the phones lit up. Many of the sightings were in the Austin area. Investigators followed clues, but they say nothing has panned out so far. Police have issued a felony warrant for Reimer for soliciting sexual misconduct/communicating with a minor using technology.

'America's Most Wanted' Segment Generates Tips
on Missing Oklahoma Girl, 14
Thursday, March 05, 2009
A television program that featured a missing Oklahoma girl believed to have run off with a 40-year-old man has generated several tips to police.
Detective J.R. Kidney says phone lines lit up after "America's Most Wanted" aired the story about 14-year-old Deborah Fourzan.
Police believe Deborah left with James Reimer, 40. Several of the tips led officers to the Austin, Texas, area.
Deborah and Reimer share an interest in anime — a form of Japanese animation. Friends of the girl say she planned to travel to an anime convention, and one was held in Austin the weekend after she disappeared Feb. 2.
Pottawatomie County prosecutors have charged Reimer with soliciting sexual conduct or communications with a minor through telephone text messaging.
Investigators say the charge stems from sexually explicit messages sent to the girl's cell phone.
Reimer has been charged with a felony and an arrest warrant with a $100,000 bond, according to News-Star.com.
Police believe Deborah went with Reimer willingly, but feel she may be in danger because of her age.
Kidney said there were many sightings near Austin, Texas, that led police to apartments and stores, according to NEWSOK.com.
"Nothing panned out, but we got some strong leads, and we’re confident that the whole nation is looking," Kidney said.
The missing girl's father, Michael Fourzan, 38, said that Deborah had lived with him until last summer, NEWSOK.com reported.
He suspected Reimer of being a threat to his daughter when she returned home from a visit to her mother with clothing and toys the man had bought her. Reimer called Deborah's Texas home when she was 13, asking her father if he could speak to her.
"I did what any father would," Fourzan said. "I made it clear that he was to stay away from her."
Fourzan said he wouldn't have allowed his daughter to move to Tecumseh to live with her mother if he had known Reimer was still involved with the family.
Deborah Fourzan's mother, Crystal Vanbuskirk, said the man had been a family friend and was like an uncle to her daughter.
She said that she tried to terminate their connections when she found the sexually explicit texts from him her daughter's cell phone. The parents took the cell phone away from their daughter, but Reimer gave her a new one so that he could continue to communicate with her, FOX23.com reported.
Deborah has not contacted her family.
"I’ve been a total wreck ever since she’s been gone," Michael Fourzan said. "I can’t think about anything other than getting her home safe."
Deborah has been listed as a missing person on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Web site.
She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing her favorite leather trench coat with faux fur on the ends of the sleeves and collar.
Reimer is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 280 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Police have reported that he could be driving a white Mercury Cougar XR7 with a license plate of VRW-932.
Any sighting of the pair should be reported to local police in that area by calling 911.

Missing 14-Year-Old Girl Reportedly Headed to Ikkicon (Update 2)
posted on 2009-02-05 19:40 EST
Deborah Fourzan said to be going to Austin this weekend with man under warrant
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) reports that 14-year-old Deborah Kalai Fourzan (pictured at right) disappeared on Monday from her hometown of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and "is believed to be traveling to California with James Reimer," a man (pictured below) who also lives in Oklahoma.
Update: The KOCO television station in Oklahoma City provides additional information. Thanks, Aaron H. Bynum. Update 2: Fourzan's mother, Crystal Vanbuskirk, told The Oklahoman newspaper that Fourzan left home with a black backpack filled with anime costumes. Tecumseh police believe that the two missing individuals are in a '90s white Mercury Cougar with front-end damage.

I'm friends with Kalai and I really hope she comes home soon. I know that everybody, including me and my own family wants her back and safe. It's astonishing that, even though so many people know about this and are looking for her, that she still isn't home. I just hope that she's okay.

Man who disappeared with Tecumseh teen awaiting extradition to Oklahoma
A man who disappeared with a Tecumseh teenager more than a month ago is awaiting extradition from Washington state to Oklahoma, authorities said.
OKLAHOMA CITY —
A man who disappeared with a Tecumseh teenager more than a month ago is awaiting extradition from Washington state to Oklahoma, authorities said.
Officials are seeking a search warrant for James Reimer's vehicle, which is packed with "all sorts of stuff," Krista Hedstom, a spokeswoman for the Washington State Patrol, said Monday.
Troopers stopped Reimer, 41, and Deborah Kalai Fourzan, 14, Saturday afternoon on a routine traffic violation in southwest Washington. He was jailed in Grays Harbor County.
The teen, who was unharmed, has been taken into the custody of child protective services, Hedstom said.
Deborah Fourzan disappeared with Reimer after she was dropped off at Tecumseh High School and didn't attend classes or get off the school bus on Feb. 2, authorities said.
Fourzan's friends told police she left school with plans to travel to California for an anime convention, an interest she and Reimer shared.
After a few weeks, her disappearance was aired on a segment of Fox's "America's Most Wanted."
Hedstom said Reimer had switched the license plate on the car he purchased for $800 before the two left Oklahoma. The plate on the car belonged to a vehicle that hadn't been registered for years, she said.
The highway on which they were stopped is highly traveled by tourists for its scenic views of the coastline, Hedstom said.
Deborah Fourzan and Reimer have been questioned to determine whether a crime was committed in Washington state, Hedstom said. Authorities there were not prepared to release details of the interviews until they've searched the car, she said.
Reimer is charged with a felony count of soliciting sexual conduct or communications with a minor through telephone text messaging out of Pottawatomie County. The charge stems from sexually explicit messages Reimer allegedly sent to Fourzan's cell phone.
Pottawatomie County Assistant District Attorney Russ Cochran said when the investigation is complete prosecutors will determine other charges Reimer could face.
Meanwhile, the girl's father, Michael Fourzan, said he knows exactly what he's going to say when he comes face-to-face with his daughter.
"After I hug her for a long time, I'm going to tell her that her family loves her and we're relieved that she's safe," he said. "We are going to get past this, and she's going to have a great life."
Deborah Fourzan had been living with her mother, Crystal Vanbuskirk, in Tecumseh, but Michael Fourzan said she will return to Texas with him.

SHAWNEE (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Shawnee&CATEGORY=CITY) — A man accused of luring a 14-year-old Tecumseh girl to take a cross-country trip with him may have been planning to kill himself if nabbed by authorities, police said.

When James Joseph (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=James+Joseph&CATEGORY=PERSON) Reimer, 41, was apprehended March 17 in Washington (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Washington&CATEGORY=STATE) state, authorities found a shotgun in the trunk of his car. Reimer told the teenager he planned to use the gun on himself if faced with a standoff with police, Tecumseh Police Detective J.R. Kidney (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=J.R.+Kidney&CATEGORY=PERSON) said.
Reimer fought extradition from Washington. He was returned to Oklahoma (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Oklahoma&CATEGORY=STATE) on Wednesday on a governor’s warrant to face felony charges in connection with the Feb. 2 disappearance of Deborah Kalia (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Deborah+Kalia&CATEGORY=PERSON) Fourzan.
Reimer is charged in Pottawatomie County (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Pottawatomie+County&CATEGORY=COUNTY) District Court with maliciously enticing a child and soliciting sexual conduct with a child through text messaging.
He appeared in court Thursday and requested a public defender. His bail was set at $150,000.
District Attorney Richard Smothermon (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Richard+Smothermon&CATEGORY=PERSON) said he declined to file sexual assault charges against Reimer because he has no evidence Reimer accosted Fourzan in Oklahoma. He said he could not pursue a kidnapping complaint because she appears to have gone willingly with him.
Smothermon said the U.S. (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=United+States&CATEGORY=COUNTRY) attorney’s office is reviewing the case to determine whether Reimer could face federal charges since Fourzan crossed several state lines.
Fourzan’s disappearance prompted a nationwide search for the pair, who were featured on America’s Most Wanted (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=America's+Most+Wanted&CATEGORY=MISC).
Reimer was apprehended six weeks later in Grays Harbor County (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Grays+Harbor+County&CATEGORY=COUNTY), Wash., when a trooper spotted his car traveling along a coastal highway popular with tourists, police said. Fourzan was with him.
"I think we’re lucky his shotgun was in the trunk, because who knows what his state of mind was like then,” Kidney said. "The joyride was over.”
Clothing, camping gear and motel receipts were among the items found packed in the car. Receipts showed an extended stay in New Mexico (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=New+Mexico&CATEGORY=STATE), authorities said.
Kidney said Reimer told authorities he financed the trip with $4,200 taken from a convenience store he worked at before he and Fourzan left the state. When apprehended, Fourzan was holding the few hundred dollars that were left, he said.
Fourzan is living with her father, Michael Fourzan (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Michael+Fourzan&CATEGORY=PERSON), in Texas (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Texas&CATEGORY=STATE). Her father reports she is adjusting well, Kidney said.
