One or two shows look fairly entertaining. If this strike isn't settled soon, Prime Time TV is going to be the "Biggest Losers" and for seasons to come. JMHO

I only watch one show, and from what i have read, they only have one episode left, due to the strike. Which means My DH will be watching more sports.:1187603408.CR.Mothe

This Sunday is the last new episode of Desparate Housewives and Thursday, is the last new episode of Greys Anatomy.
I have to admit, I would love to see no one cross the picket line for the Golden Globes and the Oscars and any awards shows in between, till this strike is settled. If at least one award show has no one crossing, then I think everyone at the table will get serious. JMHO

I only watch Ugly Betty.
I agree about no one crossing the picket line. Get this strike OVER.

Golden Globe-nominated actors and presenters won't attend the televised award show Jan. 13 because of the writers' strike, the Screen Actors Guild announced Friday.
"After considerable outreach to Golden Globe actor nominees and their representatives over the past several weeks, there appears to be unanimous agreement that these actors will not cross Writers Guild of America picket lines to appear on the Golden Globe Awards as acceptors or presenters," said SAG president Alan Rosenberg. "We applaud our members for this remarkable show of solidarity for striking Writers Guild of America writers."
The announcement plunges into turmoil the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual awards show and its star-studded parties.
"The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has been placed in an extremely difficult position with the ongoing Writers Guild strike," Jorge Camara, the group's president, said in a statement. "We are making every effort to work out a solution that will permit the Golden Globes to take place with the creative community present to participate. We hope to announce a resolution to this unfortunate predicament on Monday."
The WGA has voted against a waiver to allow its writers to work on the show and said members would set up picket lines. Before the SAG announcement, NBC had said it still planned to air the show despite the picket threat.

I watch hardly anything, and my favorite show "Monk" hasn't been affected by the strike. Hooray!

Why would NBC still air the Golden Globes? The only reason people watch is to see the stars...If they aren't there...no one is watching....I know I won't be...
And think of all the other shows that spin off the GG. Like TV Guide pre GG show and E pre GG show....
It does affect alot of people..

Does the writers strike also affect the Oscars? Would actors really, really not show up for this?!

Looks like the Oscars aren't a sure thing either..
George Clooney Boycott Threat to Oscars
John Harlow
THE Hollywood star George Clooney is being credited with inspiring an actors’ boycott against film award ceremonies that threatens to reduce next weekend’s Golden Globe Awards to a shambles and is jeopardising the most important event in the Hollywood calendar, next month’s Oscars.

Yes, the writers affect all of the award shows aired in California. Believe me, some of the people giving out the awards don't have a sense of humor and need the help of a writer.

I watched Medium last night and they got real creative this season.
Cashmere Mafia with Lucy Liu is a new show. Its ok, but I wasn't thrilled with the show.
United Artists have settled with their writers. I think we will start seeing more and more groups settling soon. I do think the networks are going to wait and see how many cross the picket lines for the Golden Globes which I think the networks will be surprised to find out not many. As the Oscars get closer, perhaps the networks will get more real in negotiations.
