I can think of a lot of threads to start in here besides this one, but it seems appropriate to start the #1 thread in the forum with a discussion of the #1 team.

Both Hawaii and BYU are 8-0. Neither are in a conference that would merit them the BCS Championship however.

Yeah, I know. Guess those in charge don't think much of the WAC or Mountain West Conferences.

I actually did when Gruden was their coach and they were *this* close to the Superbowl. I still feel dirty from that! :duh:

Tebow takes home Heisman Trophy :)
NEW YORK - Tim Tebow needed only two years of college to graduate to Heisman Trophy winner, putting the sophomore in a class by himself.
Florida’s folk-hero quarterback with the rugged running style and magnetic personality won the Heisman on Saturday night to become the first sophomore or freshman to take college football’s most prestigious award.
Since 1935, when Jay Berwanger of Chicago won the first Heisman, every winner had been a junior or senior — until Tebow, who picked up quite a souvenir on his first trip to New York.

If you want to see some great college football, watch the FCS (formerly I-AA) championship game on ESPN2, Friday night. Armanti Edwards is great. I don't know whether he can play pro quarterback, but I think he will definately play pro ball!
