Silver Alert Issued For Durham Man

DURHAM, N.C. - Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Danyell J. Covington, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver AlertCovington at 6 p.m. Monday.

Covington is a 23-year-old black male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing tan boots.

Authorities say he left 602 Piper St. and may be traveling to Duke Methodist Church in Chapel Hill.

Missing Durham man found safe

DURHAM -- The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has canceled the Silver Alert for Danyell J. Covington of Durham.

Authorities had issued the alert Monday for Covington, 23, who had last been seen at 602 Piper St. Police reported that Covington was found in Chapel Hill and is well.
