By Jim Steinberg / The Fresno Bee

A 72-year-old San Joaquin man with possible mental impairment is the subject of a Fresno County Sheriff’s Office search today.
Deputies described Gilbert Perez Martinez as 5-feet-10 with short black hair, a silver mustache and surgical scar on his stomach.
He was last seen Wednesday wearing a tan jacket, black pants and tan shoes.

Lt. Mike Lancaster said the department’s search and rescue squad is studying Martinez’s disappearance to see if facts justify an all-out operation.
