I forget sometimes that dementia can occur in younger people. I hope that Karen is found safe very soon.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Cauble on Thursday.
According to a family member, Cauble has bipolar disorder.
She was last seen Monday entering a white extended cab Chevrolet truck. The truck is described as a two-door extended cab truck, muddy, with Z71 on the service truck bed. The cab of the truck was full with items. A witness believes the truck may have been used as part of construction work.
Cauble’s mother says when she spoke with representatives at Advanced Auto early in the week, they told her that the two men who were seen with Karen were not regular customers.
When the mother returned to Advanced Auto on Friday morning, an employee said the truck was a 1998 or 1999 truck, which the employee believes has a welder on the back of the truck, since the customer bought a coil spring booster for it.

Albemarle woman missing
Feb 23, 2009
Albemarle Police is looking for information on the whereabouts of Karen Joy Cauble, 27, of Albemarle.
The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Cauble on Thursday. A Silver Alert is issued for individuals believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Paulette Cauble, Karen's mother, said her daughter has bipolar disorder. She has been hospitalized six times since August and Paulette believes this may have contributed to her wandering away.
Paulette last saw her daughter at the dentist around 4 p.m. Monday. Paulette had an appointment and when she was called back, she asked Karen if she wanted to go back with her. Karen said she would sit there and read a magazine.
When Paulette came out and noticed Karen was gone, she spoke with another patient who saw a person matching Karen's description walking toward U.S. 52 as she was coming in for her appointment.
Paulette spoke with a friend who works on U.S. 52. The friend said she saw Karen coming back down U.S. 52 near Whispering Pines around 5:15 p.m.
Then the woman with whom Paulette spoke at the dentist's office drove up U.S. 52, where she saw the same person she had spotted earlier, this time near Advanced Auto Parts. The woman was not able to turn into Advanced Auto because of the large amount of traffic coming by. She went up U.S. 52 to turn around, but by the time she returned to the store the woman matching Karen's description was gone.
Karen was seen entering a white extended cab Chevrolet truck. Paulette says the witness said it was a two-door extended cab truck, muddy, with Z71 on the service truck bed. The cab of the truck was full with items. The witness believes the truck may have been used as part of construction work.
Paulette says when she spoke with representatives at Advanced Auto early in the week, they told her that the two men who were seen with Karen were not regular customers.
When Paulette returned to Advanced Auto on Friday morning, an employee said the truck was a 1998 or 1999 truck, which the employee believes has a welder on the back of the truck, since the customer bought a coil spring booster for it.
The direction of travel and possible destination is unknown and no license plate number is known.
"If this is anyone's truck, call the police. You may be innocent and just dropped her off where she wanted to go," Paulette said.
Karen was last seen wearing a yellow turtleneck with a long sleeve shirt underneath, dark polyester pants and a black coat, possibly knee length, and black tennis shoes.
Karen is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has blonde, shoulder length hair and blue eyes. She has chicken pox scars between her eyes.
Karen does not have her cell phone, money or a pocketbook.
"She needs her medicine," Paulette said.
Karen has become missing two previous times. A few years ago she was located in Myrtle Beach, S.C. following a three-week absence from Stanly County. Last April she was missing for three days before being found in Charlotte.
"She sees good in all people. She talks to everybody. She's trusting," Paulette said.
Anyone with information about Karen Joy Cauble is asked to call Albemarle Police Department at (704) 984-9500.
"She has had an absolute guardian angel and I hope he is with her this time," Paulette said.

I wonder why the alert was canceled. I pray it was because Karen was found. This is so scary to hear about younger people having dementia or bipolar disorders. I know that usually dementia or Alzheimers happens to our senior citizens but it can happen to younger people.
My bil was diagnosed in his early thirties and his sister was diagnosed in her late twenties. She passed away around her 40th birthday. It is so hard to watch people you know who have either of these conditions and how they can be fine one minute and the next they are so to speak lost to us.
