PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -- Deputies are hoping someone will see Sherri Michele Staples of Inglis and let them know she is okay. Staples is considering missing and endangered after she took her car to a car repair facility in Clearwater Wednesday mid-afternoon. She hasn't been since.
Deputies say Staples car broke down in Spring Hill on Tuesday and had it towed to her home in Inglis. Then on Wednesday, Staples had her car towed to DeLorenzo's Tires on 118th Avenue North in Clearwater because she has family in the area.
While she waited, deputies say Staples spoke to her ex-husband by phone twice. She left the auto repair shop about 4:30 p.m. on foot and is still missing.
Based on the phone conversations, deputies say there is concern about her whereabouts. Anyone with information that may help the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office locate Sherri Michele Staples is asked to call 9-1-1.
