BELLINGHAM, Wash. - A 59-year-old Bellingham man who vanished Friday without a trace is being sought by police and his frantic family and friends.

Gary Gustafson was last seen at about 12:30 p.m. Friday driving his truck in the Alabama Hill area of Bellingham, near the northern tip of Lake Whatcom.

Gustafson is described as a 59-year-old white male, 5-feet-8-inches tall and about 160 pounds in weight. He has dark, thinning hair and a mustache. He wears glasses.

He is believed to be driving a dark green 1993 Toyota 2-door pickup truck with Washington license plate A08054Y, said Lt. Steve Felmley of the Bellingham police.

At this time there is no evidence of foul play, but his disappearance is a mystery to family and law enforcement agencies.

Anyone with information about Gary Gustafson or his whereabouts is asked to call the Bellingham Police Detective Crosswhite at (360) 778-8835 or call 911.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police are searching for a Bellingham man who hasn’t been seen since Friday.

Police say 50-year-old Gary Gustafson was last seen in Bellingham at about 12:30 p.m. Friends say he was last seen driving his truck in the Alabama Hill area.

Gustafson is white, 5-foot-8, 160 pounds with dark thinning hair and a mustache. He also wears glasses.

He is believed to be driving a dark green 1993 Toyota two-door pick-up truck, Washington license plate number A08054Y.

Police say there is nothing to indicate foul play but Gustafson’s disappearance is mysterious.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bellingham Police Department Detective Crosswhite at (360) 778-8835 or call 911.

Gustafson was last seen Friday, February 20th in Bellingham.

Friends of the family say Gustafson was driving his pickup in the Alabama Hill area.

There is nothing to indicate foul play.

But Gustafson's disappearance is a mystery to family and law enforcement.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police say a 59-year-old man who was reported missing Saturday was found on Monday.

Police say Gary Gustafson's vehicle was found on a logging road near Glacier in Whatcom County by a citizen who called 911.

A sheriff's deputy responded and found Gustafson.

He was treated at the scene and then taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for follow-up treatment. His medical condition is not known.

Police say foul play is not suspected an no criminal investigation is being conducted.

By KOMO Staff GLACIER, Wash. - A 59-year-old Bellingham man who vanished Friday has been found on a logging road near Glacier in Whatcom County.

Gary Wayne Gustafson was reported missing Saturday by his family, who said he was last seen driving his pickup near the northern tip of Lake Whatcom.

A description of him and his truck was publicized widely in Western Washington at the request of police.

His vehicle was located initially by a citizen who called 911. A sheriff's deputy responded and found Gustafson, who had unspecified injuries.

Gustafson was treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital for follow-up treatment. Gustafson's medical condition is unknown at this time.

Foul play is not suspected and no criminal investigation is being conducted.
