Bixby Police Searching For Missing Woman

Bixby - Bixby police need your help in locating a missing woman.
They are trying to locate Beth Carson, a 26-year-old white female, about 5'2" and 125 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a turquoise hoodie with peace signs on it and brown pants.
Beth suffers from Prater Willi Syndrome, a condition in which she has a constant craving for food. She may be seeking out places like grocery stores and convenience stores.
Beth was last seen around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home in the 83-hundred block of East 109th Street South. A health care provider was preparing her dinner when she went to Carson's room and noticed the window open and Carson missing.
Police have searched the area and are continuing their efforts to locate her.

Bixby Police and the Volunteers of America of Oklahoma have issued a call for help in the case of a missing woman.
They say the 26-year-old, developmentally disabled woman went missing some time after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
A press release from the volunteer organization, which provides residential care for the woman, identifies her as "Beth," but says she may not answer to that name if addressed.
They describe her as five feet tall, about 125 pounds, with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a leopard print shirt and a teal hoodie; however, she had a backpack with her and could have changed clothes.
According to the press release, the woman "...has a syndrome that causes insatiable hunger, so could be sighted around restaurants or grocery stores. She is described as articulate and talkative and may not immediately appear to have disabilities. Because of her syndrome, she is likely to go to any length to obtain food, including fabricating stories and offering favors."
The woman may try to head for Oklahoma City, where she previously lived with her parents.
She has taken off before but was found in Tulsa several hours later.
It’s thought that she will try to return to Oklahoma City, where she formerly lived with her parents. She has disappeared previously. The last time she was found in Tulsa, after being missing for several hours.

BIXBY — Bixby authorities are asking for the public’s help in their search for a missing woman.
Beth Carson, 26, who suffers from Prater Willi syndrome, was reported missing shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday from an assisted living facility at 8308 E. 109th St., police said.
Due to the nature of her condition, Carson has a constant craving for food. People who suffer from the syndrome will often seek out places that have large amounts of food such as grocery and convenience stores, police said.
Staff members at the facility reported that Carson had returned to her room after doing laundry Tuesday. They checked on her about 4:45 p.m. and found her room empty and a window open.
Carson has a history of running away.
Carson was wearing a turquoise hoodie with peace signs on it and brown pants. She has brown hair, is 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds.
She was last seen in the 8300 block of East 109th Street.

After searching the area, NewsChannel 8 is happy to report, Carson was located around 4:30 this afternoon by Bixby Police, and she is safe.
Oh, thank goodness, she is safe.
