Police are calling the disappearance of a 23-year-old Toledo woman suspicious.
Rosalyn Chambers reported her daughter, Tiffany, missing on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m. She went to Toledo Police claiming her daughter had been out with a friend the night before and had not come home.
Chambers says that neither she, Tiffany's boyfriend, nor the friend Tiffany was out with has heard from her since last Friday night.
Ebony Gregory, Tiffany's friend, last saw her when the pair were sitting in a car at 5359 Dorr St. around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Gregory says the two were both highly intoxicated. She says Tiffany crawled into the backseat and both fell asleep. Gregory woke up around 3:30 a.m. to find Tiffany missing and her gold-colored shoes still in the vehicle.
Calls to Tiffany's cell phone have been going straight to voicemail.
Tiffany Chambers is a black female, 23-years-old. She is 5'3" tall and weighs about 120 lbs. She has red, braided hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Toledo Police.

Mother of missing woman needs help
Thursday, February 26, 2009
A Toledo woman has been missing for five days. Her family is pleading for the public's help to track her down.
The 24-year-old was last seen in a parking lot on Dorr Street just off of Reynolds. Her family believes she's being held somewhere against her will. Tiffany's mother says she went to a party that night at The Garden Lake Banquet Hall where she believes her daughter was drugged.
Police say Tiffany and a friend fell asleep in a car. When her friend woke up Tiffany was gone and only her shoes were left in the car. No one has seen her since.
The family is posting fliers all over the neighborhood, hoping someone will come forward who saw something. They say Tiffany is responsible, loves her kids and wouldn't run away. They're pleading for whoever has her to let her go.
Police say this case remains under investigation. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Tiffany Chambers you're asked to call Toledo police at 419-245-3340.

TOLEDO - It was suppose to be a fun night out with a friend, but Tiffany Chambers never made it home.
Friday night, Feb. 20, Tiffany and a friend went to a cabaret-themed party at the Garden Lake Banquet Hall on Dorr Street. Other party goers say they believed the drinks were laced with a drug and several people were passing out inside.
Tiffany and her friend went to their car and passed out, but when Tiffany's friend woke two hours later she discovered her friend was gone and all that was left behind were her shoes.
Detectives are working together to figure out what exactly happened. The investigative department believes foul play may have been involved, but they don't have any suspects presently.
Rosalind Chambers, Tiffany's mother, also believes her daughter is being held against her will and has been either hurt or killed.
Rosalind said her daughter, a mother of two children, is very responsible and rarely goes out to drink. Tiffany's mother added her daughter had to work the day after the party and even sorted laundry she had planned to wash on Saturday.
Rosalind is beging for anyone who is holding her daughter against her will to drop her off at a public place. She doesn't care who did this. She just wants her daughter back.
If you have seen Tiffany or can help detectives solve this mystery, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at (419) 255-1111

TOLEDO - Toledo police detectives confirmed to FOXToledo.com late Thursday afternoon that Tiffany Chambers' keys and purse were found inside the men's bathroom at the Garden Lake Banquet Hall on Dorr Street.
Detectives investigating her disappearance are treating this more than a typical missing person's case. They've assigned more officers to assist in the search.
Police, though, are not treating her disappearance as a homicide.
Tiffany is a 23-year-old single mother of two small children. She is a few weeks shy of her 24th birthday.
Last Friday, Feb. 20, Tiffany and a friend went to a cabaret-themed party at the Garden Lake Banquet Hall. Family members believe drinks served at the hall were laced with some kind of drug and several people were reportedly passing out inside the hall.
According to a police report, Tiffany and her friend went to their car early Saturday morning and passed out inside. When Tiffany's friend woke up about two hours later, she discovered Tiffany was gone and all that was left behind were her shoes.
Detectives believe foul play may have been involved, but they don't have any suspects.
Friends and family members are organizing a search and prayer vigil for Tiffany. The search and prayer vigil is slated for Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. at the Garden Lake Banquet Hall, where she was last seen.
They will be going door-to-door in the neighbrohood and will hand out flyers.
If you have any information on Tiffany's whereabouts you are asked to call Crimestopper at (419) 255-1111.
As investigators still try to find Tiffany, police are trying to sort out another incident that happened after the same party that night.
Police stress that the two incidents are not related.
Clemmyeta Owens, 21, said she enjoyed her time at the banquet hall Friday night and happened to meet Tiffany.
"She looked like she was having a good time," said Owens.
But later that night, Owens ran into a bit of trouble herself. She told FOXToledo.com that after leaving the party she and her sister stopped at Sunoco gas station on Monroe Street. Both witnessed a fight between several women who they knew. Owens got out of her vehicle and moments later, one of the vehicles ran over her left foot, injuring her pinky toe.
"The girl that hit me with the truck, she hit me with the car, and then reversed and ran my foot over," Owens said. "The skin is off of it and it's bruised up. It's sore, like right under my toe."

Friday afternoon brought a tragic ending to the search for a missing Toledo mother.
The body of Tiffany Chambers, 23, was found near where she was last seen Saturday, Feb. 21. She had not been heard from since after a late night party last Friday.
Toledo Police made the grim discovery of Chambers' body behind Henry's Auto Sales in the 5300 block of Dorr St. Friday. The body was partially submerged in water across the street from the banquet hall where Chambers was last seen.
Chambers' friends say she was well liked, a good employee and a good mother to her two small children.
Toledo Police Chief Mike Navarre says it is too early to presume a cause of death. An autopsy will be performed Saturday morning to determine cause of death.
If you have any information on Tiffany's disappearance you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.

The mother of a woman whose body was found Friday near the banquet hall where she was last seen after a night out with friends said the tragedy could have been prevented had somebody called for a car to drive her home. "If you see youngsters like that at a party acting drunk, you must really call for a vehicle to pick them up," said Rosalind Chambers, mother of Tiffany Chambers, 24, of 702 Marmion Ave., who was reported missing a week ago. She said there apparently were older and more sober people at the party, including a Lucas County sheriff's deputy. http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=TO&Date=20090228&Category=NEWS02&ArtNo=902280363&Ref=H4&MaxW=200

Tiffany Chambers
The body found matched the description of Tiffany Chambers. It was discovered about 2:45 p.m. partially submerged in standing water in a field behind Henry's Auto Sales at 5340 Dorr St. in South Toledo, Chief Mike Navarre said. "All indications are that it's her," Chief Navarre said. The death is considered suspicious. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday."This is a community matter because it could be someone else's child," Mrs. Chambers said Friday night at her house where she was surrounded by dozens of family members and friends.
Earlier, in an interview with The Blade about an hour before her daughter's body was found, she said it was not like her daughter to be away from her two young children for so long. "This is totally out of character," Ms. Chambers said. According to the missing person's report filed last week, Tiffany Chambers and her friend, Ebony George, were highly intoxicated after a party and got into Ms. Chambers' car outside of the Garden Lake Hall, 5359 Dorr St. Ms. Chambers apparently crawled into the back seat, vomited on herself, and then passed out about 1:30 a.m. Ms. Gregory woke up two hours later to find Ms. Chambers gone. Her shoes were left in the car, the report said. Ms. Gregory tried to call Ms. Chambers' cell phone, which went to her voice mail. Mrs. Chambers reported her daughter missing later that day, about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21. The elder Mrs. Chambers said in the earlier interview that the past week has been very hard on her and her daughter's children, Caleb, 7, and Antalaya, 4. She hasn't slept much and said her grandchildren have sensed something is wrong. "My grandchildren are nervous not knowing where there mother is," Mrs. Chambers said in the earlier interview. Clyde Hogan said his great-niece was devoted to her children and her job as a nurse's aide at the Arbors at Toledo nursing home. She had planned to start taking classes for nursing in the fall. "She definitely did not leave on her own," Mr. Hogan insisted. "She's always here for her children." Mrs. Chambers said Friday night that she was determined to talk to the coroner and find out exactly what had happened to her daughter. "I want to tell my grandchildren the truth about what happened to their mother, and how she died," she said. She went on to say that she did not believe her daughter could have gotten out of the car and into a field by herself because of the condition that she was reportedly in. She said a community vigil for her daughter is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Garden Lake Hall, where she was last seen. Funeral arrangements were to be handled by Cornerstone Church, where Rosalind Chambers was a member. The date has not been set yet, she said.

Family, friends honor memory of young mother
Found body likely that of 24-year-old

Tiffany Chambers was a happy, helpful person and a dedicated nursing assistant who did not deserve to die, those close to her said at a prayer vigil held yesterday near a South Toledo field where a body was found Friday.
Ms. Chambers, 24, loved her job at the Arbors of Toledo nursing home, where she had worked the afternoon shift for about two years, said Regina Qualls, her friend and a co-worker.
"She was a nice girl, a good girl," Ms. Qualls said. "She was a hard worker. She was always there to help her co-workers and her patients."
Ms. Qualls was among dozens of people who came to a parking lot at Henry's Auto Sales, 5340 Dorr St., behind which a body matching Ms. Chambers' description was discovered, partially submerged in standing water, in a field about 2:45 p.m. Friday.
The parking lot is across the street from Garden Lake Hall, 5359 Dorr St., where Ms. Chambers spent a night out with friends before she went missing. A wire fence between the parking lot and the field was adorned with live flowers and stuffed animals yesterday.
Wrapped in a blanket and shivering in a chilling wind, Ms. Chambers' 7- year-old son, Kaleb, silently stood nearby, attended to by his godfather, Marc Fitzpatrick, 29.
"She was my best friend since she was 7," Mr. Fitzpatrick said. "I am going to miss her badly."
Meagan Nowak, 24, a Toledo retail sales associate, echoed his sentiments.
"Tiffany was like a sister to me," said Ms. Nowak, who had known Ms. Chambers for 18 years.
"She was always so funny. She always laughed, and she knew how to make other people laugh. And she was always there for you. She did not deserve this."
Ms. Nowak's mother, Wendy Dodge-McClure, said Ms. Chambers was like a daughter to her.
"She was best friends with both of my daughters," Ms. Dodge-McClure said. "They used to sing, dance. And we would have water fights and snowball fights when they were younger."
Tiffany Chambers and her friend Ebony Gregory were highly intoxicated after a party and got into Ms. Chambers' car outside of the Garden Lake Hall, according to the missing person's report filed last week. When Ms. Gregory woke up after two hours, Ms. Chambers was gone and only her shoes were left in the car, the report said.
Although the body has not yet been identified officially, Toledo police Chief Mike Navarre has told The Blade that "all indications are that it's hers." He said that her death was considered suspicious. The cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Lucas County Coroner's Office scheduled tomorrow.

No foul play is found in death of woman, 24
The Lucas County Coroner's Office said Monday it found no indication of foul play in its preliminary examination of a woman found dead in a field last week after she had been missing for a week.
The body of Tiffany Chambers, 24, of 702 Marmion Ave., was found Friday afternoon partially submerged in a field behind Henry's Auto Sales at 5340 Dorr St. in South Toledo.
Coroner Dr. James Patrick said the investigation continues into the cause of Ms. Chambers' death, and no ruling will be issued before the results of a toxicology test are available.
According to the missing-person report, Tiffany Chambers and a friend were highly intoxicated after a party and got into Ms. Chambers' car, outside of the Garden Lake Hall, 5359 Dorr St. The women passed out, and the friend woke up two hours later to find Ms. Chambers gone but her shoes still in the car.
