Conner looks like a very happy child. I don't know if it is the picture or me but the father does not look like someone I would want to know.

Father arrested; 5-year-old returned to Baldwin county mother

Friday, February 27, 2009
Staff Report

After a two-county search for a missing 5-year-old, authorities arrested the boy's father on charges of interfering with custody and endangering the welfare of a child, according to Loxley police.
Timothy Wakefield, 33, of Loxley, was arrested in Mobile on Thursday morning near the intersection of Government and Broad streets.
http://ads.al.com/RealMedia/ads/adstream_nx.ads/www.al.com/xml/story/Mobile/n/nmet/@StoryAd?x The boy, Conner Allen Chase, was found with his father and was returned to his mother, according to the Loxley statement.
Wakefield was being held in the Baldwin County Corrections Center as of Thursday in lieu of bail set at $2,500, according to jail records.
A statement issued Thursday by Loxley police Chief John Cason said the child's mother had gone to work at
4:45 a.m. Tuesday and left Conner, as well as her 3-month-old, with Wakefield to be taken to day care.
Wakefield does not have custody of Conner.
When the mother arrived at the day care Tuesday afternoon to pick up the children, she found that Wakefield had dropped off only the infant.
The mother called Loxley police. She told officers that she had argued with Wakefield the night before and she was concerned about the boy's safety, the report said.
