Police look for Jacob Kohagen near Crystal Lake

LAKEVILLE - Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing Lakeville man with medical issues.

Jacob Landon Kohagen, 26, walked away from his home near Crystal Lake around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, leaving behind all of his valuables.

Police and family members are concerned for Kohagen's safety because he has some medical issues and wears an implanted pacemaker.

Lakeville and Burnsville police have concentrated search efforts around a wooded area near Kohagen's neighborhood. A flyer has been distributed and police are asking residents in the neighborhood to check their properties.

"We are extensively searching the wooded areas around this neighborhood, but would appreciate are residents who live in close proximity to Crystal Lake to check their properties."

Jacob Kohagen is described as 5'10 with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police deployed dogs and a helicopter Tuesday to find a missing Lakeville man.

Jacob Kohagen, 26, walked away from his home on Crystal Lake Sunday at 8:30 p.m. He hasn't been seen since.

Kohagen's family is worried because he has some medical issues and wears an implanted pace maker. He also left behind all of his valuables.

The Lakeville and Burnsville police departments searched the wooded areas around his home and have distributed a flyer, but so far they haven't found Kohagen. They're asking people who live in the area to check their property.

Kohagen is five-feet, ten-inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Missing Lakeville man found

A 26-year-old Lakeville man missing for nearly two days was found alive and well Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Jacob Landon Kohagen, who apparently walked away from his family's Lakeville home about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, was found in the lobby of a Minneapolis business, Lakeville Police Chief Tom Vonhof said. A person recognized Kohagen from news reports and called building security, who then contacted Kohagen's family.

Kohagen's family was especially concerned for his well being because he has medical issues and has an implanted pacemaker, Vonhof said.

Authorities spent parts of Monday and Tuesday searching wooded areas and the shorelines of three lakes near Kohagen's home. Missing person fliers were distributed to homes.
