Silver Alert issued for missing Cumberland County resident

One of two Silver Alerts issued for missing Cumberland County residents Tuesday remains in effect.
Edna Sinclair Roper, 58, was last seen at 4110 S. Doyfield Drive, according to a news release from the N.C. Center for Missing Persons.
Roper is believed to be driving a green 2001 Mitsubishi Galant with license tag YSB-5329, the release said. It is not known what direction she is traveling.
Roper is black, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, the release said.
She was last seen wearing a green, yellow and blue tank top shirt and green pants.
Roper is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Anyone with information about Roper should call the Fayetteville Police Department at 433-1856.
An alert issued for 72-year-old Raymond Curtis McLean, was canceled shortly after 3 p.m.

Raleigh, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Tuesday afternoon for a missing Fayetteville woman.

Edna Sinclair Roper, 58, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Roper is a black woman who stands 5 feet 5 inches and weighs about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green, yellow and blue tanktop with green pants.

Roper was last seen at 4110 S. Doyfield Drive in Fayetteville, authorities said, and she is believed to be driving a green 2001 Mitsubishi Galant with North Carolina license plate YSB-5329.

Anyone with information about Roper should call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1856.

I hoe this woman is found safe. It really bothers me when I hear about people who I consider fairly young having dementia.
I know it happens to younger people but until my bil was diagnosed at age 40 I had no idea it happened that young .

I pray that Edna is found soon and safe.

Okay, call me crazy - again. But WHY is she driving??? :duh:This is the second case I have read this week. For her safety and everyone else's, for Goodness Sakes take the keys. Take the car. I know it is hard, as we had to experience it with my MIL. I hope other can learn from this.

Silver Alert canceled for Fayetteville woman

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayettville Police canceled a Silver Alert for a missing woman.

Police said they located 57-year-old Edna Sinclair Roper of Fayetteville.

She is currently at the Cape Fear Calley Medical Center. There is no other information regarding her condition.
