The Brevard County sheriff’s helicopter and police dogs were also used in the search for Frank Eugene Henry, who authorities believe wandered from his home at 1161 Sunswept Road.
Henry, who has been diagnosed with symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, was last seen by his wife about 10:39 p.m. Wednesday as he walked out of the front door. She then went out through an open garage door but could not locate him. She went to a neighbor’s house for help. Henry, also known as “Hank,” was still missing as of 7 a.m.
Palm Bay Police Department’s dive team were called out to Turkey Creek Sanctuary to search the nearby waters and canals. A police dog tracked a scent from the house and had to be stopped before walking into the water at Turkey Creek.
Anyone with information on Henry’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 952-3456.
