The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is asking for help in the search for a 46-year-old Hispanic man, who was last seen Friday, March 20 at his home in north Harris County.

Ernest Aranda left that morning to visit people he knows in the neighborhood, but they did not see him the day he went missing nor have they seen him since then.

According to the sheriff’s office, Aranda is mentally challenged with the mental capacity and functionality of a 10- to 13-year-old.

“The family and the HCSO Missing Persons Unit have been actively searching for Mr. Aranda since his disappearance and thus far have developed no clues regarding his whereabouts,” a statement said. “His extended absence is extremely unusual and concerning.”

Anyone with information regarding Aranda’s disappearance or his whereabouts are asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit at 713-755-7427 or the Harris County Dispatch Center at 713-221-6000.

What does LE have, that they KNOW that Ernest went to 'visit people he knows in the neighborhood'.......(upon who's word does LE get this information?)

but they did not see him the day he went missing nor have they seen him since then.

'they' who?....didn't see him the day he went missing?

According to the sheriff’s office, Aranda is mentally challenged with the mental capacity and functionality of a 10- to 13-year-old.

If this is a 'mentally challenged' adult....why hasn't there been more media coverage?.....We may as well be dealing with a juvenile.....(IMO)..

IMO...there have to be 'clues'....what have they 'missed?'.....

Anyone with information regarding Aranda’s disappearance or his whereabouts are asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit at 713-755-7427 or the Harris County Dispatch Center at 713-221-6000.

It's 11:38p.m. here in Houston....I just ran a survey of local news agencies.....I'm finding 'no headlines' in the Ch 2 or Ch 13 news ....on this case. (These are two of the 'top' news agencies in Houston).....What's wrong with this picture?......(unless I've just totally missed something....).....

Ch 13 headlines:

"Son accused of killing his own mother"

"Police seek man who attempted to abduct young girl.."

"Driver finds boy in diaper crawling in street...".....

Nothing about this man 'MISSING'......???????

(I'm sorry...but what is wrong with this picture?????)

Ch 2 headlines:

"Where are Woodstock stars today?"

"Man Dies In Police, EMS Custody."

"Grass Fire Consumes 100 Acres"....

(Again Nothing pertaining to this MISSING individual)

IMO...What's wrong with this picture??????

IMO....EVERY MISSING PERSON DESERVES EQUAL EXPOSURE....WHETHER THE ELITE, OR THE HOMELESS...BUT THE MEDIA TENDS TO DESCRIMINATE AGAINST THE 'UNIMPORTANT'....'THE IRRELEVANT'.........EVERY HUMAN BEING IS 'IMPORTANT' AND 'RELEVANT'.....IMO....(AS I'M SURE IN OTHERS OPINION)....WHEN DO WE "insist" THAT THE LOCAL MEDIA OUTLETS TREAT THEM ALL THE "same"??????????

My sincere apologies to any I may offend....I personally find it appalling that there is not equal media coverage for ALL missing persons, despite their race, creed, color, religion, or socioeconomic background......! THERE IS A PERSON MISSING.......

I did an internet search this morning for Mr. Aranda....the only thing I found was this site, where a member claims to have found an obituary in a Houston paper for Mr. Aranda. There is a link provided at the site.
