APPLETON -
On the same street, in the same building, with the same goals, they start again.

"The grand-opening of Mission Home," announced Jay Breyer as he opened the doors to an office that will house a new organization dedicated to missing and exploited children.

After a nine-month hiatus from the site, formerly the Youth Educated and Safety office, Breyer says it's a struggle to walk back in. Last June, he was ousted from the group over concerns he mismanaged the organization's money. A state investigation showed he did nothing wrong.

"It's hard walking in here, knowing that Becky Kramer is still missing, knowing that Laurie's still missing, knowing that we lost nine months of services we could have provided out there," Breyer said.

He says after Y.E.S, the organization he founded, was dissolved the calls from families seeking help never stopped.

"That's where we always started," former Winnebago County Assistant District Attorney John Daniels said. "He was the call, where do we go from here? Jay what do you know? Who do you know?"

Breyer will play a key role as an advisor for Mission: Home.

Now, just an empty office, Breyer says the organization will help provide the knowledge kids need to stay safe and help the families of the missing.

"We're gonna have kids come home and bring adults home because that's what we're good at," he said.

Breyer says the time for finger-pointing is past, but admits the journey hasn't been easy. Y.E.S has now become the Missing Persons Network of Wisconsin.

"It was really hurtful to see him suffer so much because he loved the Y.E.S. program and he loved helping families of missing children," supporter Mary Wegner said.

Mary Wegner has worked with Breyer since her daughter Laurie Depies disappeared. However humble it's beginnings, she says she's happy to welcome Mission: Home.

FOX 11 tried to contact the president and other members of the Missing Persons Network of Wisconsin for this story, our calls were not returned.
