PERRYTON - Ochiltree County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding a missing person. 76-year-old Farris Wayne Sledge was last seen Wednesday around 4 p.m. on HWY 83 heading south. Sledge is driving a 1991 maroon Chevy pickup with a white headache rack in the back . Sledge does suffer from dementia. If you have any information on his location, please call Ochiltree County Sheriff's Office at 806-435-8000.

Farris Wayne Sledge went missing yesterday

PERRYTON, TEXAS -- The Ochiltree County Sheriffs office is asking for help finding a missing person.
The department says that Farris Wayne Sledge, 76-years-old, was last seen at 4:00 yesterday afternoon. Sledge was seen in Perryton driving down highway 83, he was headed south. Mr. Sledge is driving a 1991 Chevy pickup with an extended cab, the truck is maroon with a white headache rack. Officials say that Sledge does have dementia.

UPDATE: Early this morning, Farris Wayne Sledge has been located. Officials could not comment on his health.

Missing Man Found Dead

After being missing for more than 24 hours, a 76-year-old man is found dead in Ochiltree County.

Family members say Farris Wayne Sledge suffered from dementia and was reported missing on Wednesday. Officers discovered his body along a rural road in Cchiltree County around nine Thursday morning.

Police say his pick-up truck became stuck and he most likely attempted to walk several miles back into town. The Sheriff believes Sledge died of natural causes.
