15 year-old, Sasha Stoops, a white female, was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans, and a white bandanna. Stoops is described as a white female, 5’6", and weighing 140 lbs.

Sasha ran away from 2810 Sharer Rd, and was last seen in the area of N. Monroe St and I-10.

She was missing for more than a week, but a Tallahassee teenager is finally located in Panama City Beach.

Police there say 14-year-old Sasha Stoops was arrested at the Rock'it Lanes bowling alley at about 11:25 Sunday night.


Panama City Beach Police say she was arrested for giving officers false information and is being held in a juvenile detention facility.

There's no word on how she got to Panama City or where she was staying or with whom.

Sasha was last seen October 27 and her parents were especially worried because she has the mental capacity of a five-year-old and needs medication.

She apparently is missing again. She was found when she was in Panama City. After that, she was placed in another home and it looks like she has run from there as well. I know this girl personally and hope they find her soon.

In my opinion, she doesn't have the mental capacity of a 5 year old. She does have problems, but she has also been tossed around from one place to the other for most of her life. Also IMO she is not as mature as she should be for her age but in general, or at least around me, she was a sweet girl. It's odd, I didn't realize she was missing. I just joined this site today and was looking around and saw her name. The picture that is shown at the top is so sad to me. I went back thru my pictures and found some of her with me and my husband where she was actually happy... Those moments were few and far between for her.

I thought her mom said she only has the mind of a 5 year old. If that is so, how can she be arrested for giving false info? Wouldn't the police be able to tell she wasn't a normal 14 year-old or did I miss something?

Last year when this child was missing, her adopted mom that put her up for adoption again knew where this child was. I have read several of her posts & believe she should be questioned some regarding this case; if she hid her once, she's probably doing again.

The WCTV web site says: "An investigation revealed that a bus ticket was bought in Sasha’s name on Sunday morning 10/28/07 at the Greyhound Bus Station in Tallahassee. However, it has not been confirmed she actually boarded that bus." 1. Can't they determine anything from the security cameras? 2. I just spoke to the Greyhound Bus Station. No ID is required to purchase a bus ticket if it is being bought with CASH. If it is being bought with a credit card or debit card, yes, the purchaser must have ID. So??????????why would a ticket be put in Sasha's name in the first place? If anybody was helping her leave town they surely would have paid cash, and there would be no need for ID or a name. If somebody used a credit or debit card, wouldn't the name of the ticket be for the purchaser? I hope you do more research on the "ticket" aspect of this girls disappearance. And is there any way to let us know at least in what direction the ticket was bought to go?

Where did the bus ticket tip come from? The family first learned about it from this web page. Maybe a reporter should ask the family if they have any contacts in the ticket's destination (or points in between)?

where was the bus ticket going. An unidentified young girl was just recently found burned in Polk County according to Tampa News 10.

Parents still have hope for adopted daughter Sasha Stoops
By Angeline Taylor DEMOCRAT STAFF WRITER Theresa and Roy Stoops were finally able to see their adopted daughter Thursday. It was the first time they had seen 14-year-old Sasha Stoops since she ran away from a Tallahassee foster home and was picked up in Panama City.
But after this week, their parental rights will be terminated over Sasha — one of their four adopted children.
"We have perfectly healthy children at home," Theresa Stoops said. "This child is not."
During the nine days Sasha was missing, Theresa and Roy reiterated why they gave her over to the Department of Children and Families. They said they wanted to make sure the teenager received the help she needs. They contend that the child, a chronic runaway, needs better mental-health care than their insurance will allow.
Theresa Stoops said it looks like Sasha may finally get the help she needs.
"It's not parenting skills," Theresa Stoops said. "Believe me, all the parents I've talked with — we all question our parenting skills. But when it gets to the point when you cannot protect your child who can?"
She believes that DCF and other agencies should use their money and resources to help parents. She and her husband parented Sasha for nearly three years after other adoption proceedings with the child fell through.
"What's the answer? Nobody adopts Florida's kids?" She asked rhetorically. "Somebody has to love these children."
Theresa Stoops said many parents fall into the same category as her family did. She said she has heard from many families who share her fate in Tallahassee and throughout Florida.
Pinellas County School Board member Nancy Bostock and her husband are among them.
"We've been trying all we can for seven years and basically we've been losing ground," Bostock said of the mental-health issues her adopted 11-year-old son experiences.
Her son currently lives in a therapeutic foster home — much like Sasha did before she ran away. DCF officials said they would not comment on Sasha's case. Hans Soder, a state child-location specialist, said 2,112 children — 12 years old and older, ran away from state custody during 2006 and 2007.
Soder said 56 percent of those cases get resolved within a week.

The parental rights were terminated so she can not get information on Sasha anymore. As for the pictures I don't know how to post them. Can someone tell me how? Thanks
