AMBER Alert Issued for 8 Month Old Michigan Girl

The State of Michigan issued the Amber Alert early Monday morning after the child was reportedly abducted late Sunday night (04-05) in Flint. The child is believed to be in extreme danger.

Lameyaha Darnee Washington a Black female, 8 months old with black hair and brown eyes and weighs 16 pounds. She has braided hair, a birthmark on the right side of her stomach and silver studded earrings. She was last seen wearing a pink long sleeved shirt and blue jeans with yellow and pink butterflies design.

The suspect is Shardee Simpkinson an 18-year-old Black female, 5'7", 140 lbs. with brown eyes and short black hair. She was last seen wearing gray shorts, black and gray flip flops and a pink winter coat with a fur-lined hood.

There is no suspect vehicle at this time.

FLINT, Mich. -- Michigan Sate Police issued an amber alert Monday morning for a 8-month-old girl who may have been abducted by a babysitter.The girl was last seen about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at her mother’s home on Dupont Street in Flint.The missing child Lameyaha Darnee Washington is described as black with brown eyes and braided hair with black and white beads. She weighs about 16 pounds and has a birthmark on the right side of her stomach.The girl was last seen wearing a pink long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans with yellow and pink butterflies along the legs. Police said they believe she was kidnapped by her 18-year-old babysitter, Sade Simpkins.Simpkins stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weights about 140 pounds.If you’ve seen the teen or missing girl, please contact police at 810-237-6800.

Flint Police Officers are searching for a missing 8-month old girl who is believed to be in extreme danger.

Lameyaha Darnee Washington was abducted from her mother's home on Dupont street in Flint late Sunday night.

Lameyaha is African-American, she weighs 16 pounds, has brown eyes and has black braided hair.

She has a birthmark on the right side of her stomach. Lameyaha was last seen wearing a pink long sleeve shirt with blue jeans that have a yellow and pink butterfly design.

The Flint Police Departments says Lameyaha may have been taken by Sada Nola Simpkinson. She is described as an 18 year-old African-American.

Shardee is 5'7" weights 140 pounds with brown eyes and black short-styled hair. She was last seen wearing gray shorts, black and gray sandals with a pink colored winter coat.

The Amber Alert was issued earlier Monday morning after the child was reportedly abducted late Sunday night (04-05) in Flint. The child was believed to be in extreme danger.

FLINT, Michigan -- Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 8-month-old Flint girl.

According to police the baby, Lameyaha D. Washington, was found about 9 a.m. today and she is not injured.

Lameyaha was reported missing to police shortly after midnight Monday. The baby's mother told police a friend, 18, was watching Lameyaha while she took a bath. When she came downstairs a short time later, the door was open, and the baby and the friend were gone.

It is unknown where Lameyaha was found or if she still was with the friend.

Missing baby found safe Monday morning

FLINT, Michigan -- Police found a missing 8-month-old girl several hours after an Amber Alert was issued about her disappearance.

According to police, Lameyaha D. Washington of Flint was found about 9 a.m. Monday. She was not injured, police said.

Lameyaha was reported missing to police shortly after midnight Monday. The baby's mother told police a friend, 18, was watching Lameyaha while she took a bath. When she came downstairs a short time later, the door was open, and the baby and the friend were gone.

The 18-year-old was arrested Monday morning and lodged in the Genesee County Jail. She faces kidnapping charges.
