Man reported missing has been located
Thursday, Apr. 09, 2009
MANATEE — A mentally ill man reported missing Wednesday has been located, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
The family of Ronald Platt, 27, located him at a Clearwater hospital this morning and notified deputies, according to sheriff’s spokesman Dave Bristow.
Sheriff’s deputies asked for help in locating Platt after his family reported he wandered away from home and was last seen April 2. Platt suffers from a metal illness, Bristow said.
Bristow said Platt’s family recently moved to Bradenton from Pinellas County so that could be why he showed up at the Pinellas County hospital.
