Yeah, it was a little busy with characters. And the blonde whose bf dropped the ring in the lake.. I wasn't getting all of that storyline. It seemed kinda pointless to me, but maybe it will evolve.

Tonight after CSI I believe. If they keep up the pace, there will be fewer characters every week to keep up with.

Okay, Really, who in their right mind would want to get married on this island? After finding out the history of mass murder, I'd say no thanks!
I think the groom's brother, is it JD, is the killer.

On a side note, watching this show makes me glad I have my Wonder Woman powers......

I however, have no super powers at all, so I would be a sitting duck on the island. :a1chic:

I finally got around to watching the 2nd episode over the weekend. I screamed and scared the dogs when that dude came up behind Abby and grabbed her mouth.

I have no idea who's doing the killings. I think it's too obvious to be JD. It has to be someone we wouldn't expect. Like Abby's ex-boyfriend. He seems nice, so it's probably him.

I like it though.

About the creepy kid, I looked up Harper's Island characters at wikipedia and found this. Her name is Kelly.

Kelly Seaver

The Outcast (Portrayed by Ana Mae Routledge)
Kelly has a unique connection with Abby: both of their mothers were killed by John Wakefield. But where Abby left the island, Kelly stayed behind and has never gotten over her mother's murder. She's struggled with depression and suicide attempts and a secret belief that John Wakefield is still alive and coming back for her.
In episode 2, Kelly is found hanged in her home by the Sheriff.

In the first episode, her mother said something about getting someone to play with the little girl.

In the second episode, she said something about someone telling her about the killings in a dream or something weird like that.

She looks to be about 6 or 7 years old.

The little girl ...

"Madison Allen (played by Cassandra Sawtell) is Shea and Richard's daughter. She's cute, sweet and, at times, horribly spooky. Lots of kids enjoy mischief; Madison might enjoy it a little too much. She has a tendency to say things that indicate she has a better idea about what's happening on Harper's Island than the adults do. She knows something they don't…something bad."

Did anyone ever watch the old movie "The Bad Seed"? That's what this little girl's character reminds me of.

Hi LiveLaughLuv, nice to meet you too. Thanks for the welcome!

Nah,I don't really think it's the CLG (creepy little girl).
Creepy? Yeah.
Little? yup.
Mass murderer? Nuh uh. :000:

I can't figure out who's doing the killing yet and I can't figure out why they are not wondering where all the dead people are. I mean, c'mon!

Hi PatC.

I just don't know. :z0tdntknw:
If I had to guess, I would go with the Step Mom of the bride. At least I think she's the Step Mom? I should pay more attention to who's who. I don't know why I feel it could be her? I just think it will be one of those " Well I never would have believed it" people. Shoot, It might be the lady at the cheap hotel in town? :0009:

Shane has the guy he hit with his truck in an abandoned home, Abby walked in as the show was ending....I thought Shane could be doing the killings..

I finally watched Thursday night's episode yesterday.

Then I had to come to wikipedia to make sure I had my characters straight.

Stepmom is fooling around with Trish's (bride and matron of honor) sister's hubby (so, Stepmom and step son-in-law).

CLG (creepy little girl, thanks gaallen!) her name is Madison. She is the daughter of Trish's sister (matron of honor) and her hubby (the one bumping the Step mom).

Until the end of the last episode, I was beginning to think, the sheriff was the one doing the murders. Abby said several times that her dad killed John Wakefield. I was thinking what if her daddy did the first set of murders, then he killed John Wakefield to make it look like JW did the murders. But, the end of the episode slashed that theory. It's not the sheriff.

What if it wasn't JW that did the first set of murders, and the killer has been on the island the whole time?

The propellor guy, I think, was Trish's cousin. Remember on the first episode, they were waiting on him to show up before the boat took off? Then Trish's dad said something about waiting and she said to go ahead and leave that he would just have to catch a ride on another boat to the island when he showed up.

Now - a bit of trivial information. Trish, the bride - she is David Cassidy's daughter. She's really gorgeous and her teeth are BEAUTIFUL!

Who's money was that? Two died over that money, one at his own hands, the other by a booby trap set up on that boat....

Madison seems to be psychic, she said she won't be a flower girl, then (I forgot her name :love0084:) the bride to be was in the pool and the mechanical cover was engaged, I thought right then and there she was done. Her brother in law got her in the nick of time...was it Madison who engaged that mechanical pool cover??? Was it the brother in law who had second thoughts about what he was doing???

Madison (my granddaughters name but spelled Madisyn..)is the one who says, One by One...heard her as she was sitting on the floor in the living room, One by One.....creepy...:a1chic:

At the bachlorlette party they hired a tarot card reader for fun, this woman held Ally's necklace (which was her mothers) and the fear hit her, the tarot card reader was visibly shaken. She left abruptly but waited for Ally to leave the home and told her, he wants you, you must leave NOW...!

Last we see is one of the guys, with the money that was to be hidden, crying on his bed.....

I think that was Uncle Marty's money and gun?

And did you see before the party when the psychic lady had the nose bleed and the drops hit Abby's name on the list?

Yeah the pool scene with the brother in law was suspicious but almost too obvious? The psychic lady did tell the bride (can't think of her name either) that someone might hurt her but would also be her saviour, or something like that?

Madison aka CLG....hmmmm? I didn't think about her closing the pool cover? :g:

The whole money thing is an interesting twist. Henry almost did the right thing but his greedy buddies, especially Mr. turtle beer guy, peer pressured him into taking it. :71541:

The one who betrayed her will also be her savior...It was her dad who betrayed her by bringing her ex boyfriend to the island in hopes of rekindeling their love??? Who was that with the burns to the right side of his body? Well, I think Wakefield did not die, if that turns out to be Wakefield...

Something is going on with Abby and her dad, the sheriff. She is really upset with him but don't know why yet...Sheriff is still tracking unsolved murders...I think he knows Wakefield did not die, looks like he got burned and everyone thought he was dead?

Bride to be told dad his wife is having an affair with his son in law...he doesn't want it revealed yet, possibly after the wedding..He doesn't want his other daughter to know this yet either...

Grooms brother is being blamed for the dead raccoon?? over at the church. I don't think JD did anything. Since he is the "rebellious" one, he gets blamed for lots of things...he gets along well with Madison..:11_2_104:

I'm thinking the burned guy could be Wakefield too. I'm not figuring out why the little white dog was hanging around where he is ~ did he do something to Lucy (?) the dog's owner? So, after last night's show, who thinks Henry is the killer? I do! On the past few episodes he's been grinning like a jackass eating briars (old grandma saying). And last night, he was all about going with the Sheriff to find JD because he just "knows JD is guilty".

Ok, so maybe Henry isn't the killer, cause he would know if he continued the killings while JD was locked up, then it couldn't be JD.

Oh.. one more thing.. Did anybody else wonder if Abby might be Wakefield's daughter? The Sheriff said Abby's mom had a thing with him when she was young. What if she was pregnant by him, then married the Sheriff so that he could raise Abby as his child. It just seemed odd that after the mom was murdered the daddy sent Abby to live in Washington. What was the reason for that?

I always thought Abby left the island because she didn't want to stay there after her mother was murdered.

Oh.. one more question. How did Henry's parents die? Did Wakefield murder them?

I guess I was so wrong about the burned guy though ~ he used to work with the sheriff so it's definitely not Wakefield!! I'm also beginning to think there might be more than one killer. Malcolm's friends were pretty upset when they found he had the money and they blamed him for the other guy (Booth) being dead. :shrug1:

Some interesting thoughts there!! I hadn't thought about Henry. I'm not sure either how his parents died since I missed parts of the first episodes when they were on Thursday night, in case it was mentioned then. :blondblush113268230

Well, I'm one who came away from last night's episode thinking Henry could be "it". When he first insisted on going with the sheriff I thought he was going to end up causing JD to get shot "trying to escape."

Also, I'm semi-convinced that Abby is Wakefield's daughter.

I thought when Abby was trying to change Trish's mind it was the decision NOT to marry Henry she was trying to undo.

IIRC, Cal and Chloe showed back up in good health and haven't been knocked off yet, right?

If the guys found $250K in the boat with (supposedly) Hunter Jennings, what happened to the $50K Wellington paid Jennings off with?

What's been going on with the girls Beth and Shea? I've lost track of them. Oh, and what's with Nikki... the bar owner?

Cal & Chloe were still alive and well in last week's episode, but we didn't see them last night. And nobody's discovered Richard's body yet either. Speaking of the money I wonder if Malcolm got all of it in the fire or there's still some left that his killer will take? I can't wait for next Saturday! :0t13:

Henry and Trish (the wedding couple - or not)
Cal and Chloe (newly engaged couple)
Sully and Danny (groomsmen)
JD (the prime suspect - he's in jail now tho')
Abby and Jimmy (old flame is a burnin')
Shea (Abby's sister) and I think there was another girl but I may be mixing her up with Shea
Madison (the little girl - keeps reminding me of the old movie The Bad Seed)

Lest we forget.... there are also some people NOT in the wedding party:

Nikki (the bar owner)
The Sheriff
Shane (the guy who was apparently in love with Kelly)
Maggie (the wedding planner)
The disfigured man
Kathrine (the stepmother who was fooling around with Richard the BIL)

Anybody else?

Beth -- we know so little about her. Why is she even in the script?
Cal -- he seems like such a sweet little guy, but now I know (according to that cheat sheet) he's a doctor! You don't get to be a doctor without a certain amount of inner strength.
Chloe -- "...has a surprising curiosity about serial killers, especially John Wakefield..." Could she be a "copy cat killer"?
Sully and Danny -- seem the most UNlikely to me , but maybe that should make them or one of them the MOST likely. ????
JD -- I think he's out of the running now.
Jimmy -- I just don't WANT it to be him. LOL
Katherine, Shea, Trisha and Madison -- I don't think they could handle the murders physically but Madison is spooky.
Maggie, Nikki or Shane -- maybe they're harboring some grudge against the "haves" this party represents. However they've been on the island all this time and no murders also, I don't think Maggie or Nikki are strong enough.
Sheriff Mills and the disfigured man are still in the running but unlikely to me.

Hi Pat! :0012: It seems the more we go along the more possibilities of multiple suspects! Like for example, Shea finds out her husband Richard is cheating on her right before he's murdered, er, I mean harpooned, while Madison is sitting in front of a window playing cards and looking out the window; Malcolm (assuming he was murdered) as he's tossing money into the fire after his two buddies find out about Booth's death and blame him ~ and know he has the money. That gardener also saw Malcolm pick up th e money bag while he was using a chainsaw to trim bushes. I don't want it to be Jimmy either because I'd like to see him and Abby get together again. Remember how low key the bridesmaid, Beth, has been? She's still around and the cheat sheet says:

"She's beautiful, energetic and athletic. Though she didn't grow up as privileged as Trish, she's very comfortable in that world."

"athletic" enough to handle some of the things we've been thinking a 'girl' couldn't do or that would take more than one person?

"privileged" -- just how DID she get IN with this crowd? where IS she from?

I'm wondering though because if the child isn't Abby, then what happened to him/her while they were growing up? That Shane guy sure is odd though. :eyebrow1qb: I can't see either how the Sheriff could be so "mobile" to do in Beth after he was injured so does he have help?

They just haven't given enough info to put together an accurate time line and I've been trying to figure out who has an alibi for every murder but that's tough too because we don't necessarily know WHEN the murders take place or WHERE everyone is at any given time.

The only things I think are certain:

1. JD and Shane were behind bars when the deputy was killed.
2. The Sheriff was incapacitated in the cabin when Cole was killed.
3. Jimmy and Abby were together and got to the cabin when Cole was still barely alive so it SEEMS they alibi each other but if working together????....
4. Sully .. apparently alone... was at the pier when Jimmy, Abby and the Sheriff got there.

And last night Shane was drinking at the bar when Katherine was "harpooned" in the back ~ unlikely he could've done that unless he'd gone outside. :waitasec:

Good one, I'll add it to my list. You know that Robin at the newspaper SAID someone had called for those Wakefield stories that were laying out but maybe SHE was the one so interested. Where does she fit in?

Cal & Chloe have been pretty much together all the time but I can't remember if anyone was murdered during a time when we KNOW they were together.

Sully and Danny have too, but Sully seemed alone at the pier last night.

Oh I'd almost forgotten about her! I still think more than one person is doing this. Like I said too, it seems the sheriff was too incapacitated to have killed Beth ~ but ~ he did get out of the clinic in time to have killed Katherine. I can't help but think he's involved. :shrug1:

I just finished watching Saturday's show and think it could be Shane in cahoots with the sherriff and it is possible that the Sherriff has taken on the personality of Wakefield. However, what if the Sherriff is really Wakefield and it is Abby's Dad that is really in the grave? I know that is probably not going to turn out to be the case but it got me wondering after the Sherriff disappeared from where he was being treated by Cal!

PatC
06-15-2009, 07:54 PM
I just can't warm up to the Sheriff being involved, but I could be wrong. Why would he have waited seven years to start killing people though? He could have been so worried about Abby that he forced himself to leave the clinic.... OR someone could have come after him and forced him to go with them.

Louise, your theory is very inventive but.... all those years Wakefield was in jail, the Sheriff was on the island... unlikely they looked enough alike to fool people.

Nikki, the bar owner has sorta dropped out of sight the last couple of episodes. Maybe she never realized how much she resented being stuck in that life till the "haves" came back to the island. :waitasec:

One thing for sure, if it is Shane, someone else has to be involved since he and JD were locked up when the deputy was killed and he was sitting at the bar calmly drinking when Kathrine was killed.

It will be interesting as the end comes closer to find out what Abby has to do with it all and whether she really is Wakefield's daughter?

I was just wondering if maybe Abby isn't Wakefield's daughter, but instead it's a guy who is his son ~ like maybe the gardener? ~ and he's continuing the killing spree that his dad started 7 yrs. ago? :hide:

OK, the first thing I gotta say is, "I TOLD you it wasn't the Sheriff." :0t31:

The second is... I thought it was going to be Maggie so I was wrong about that, for sure.

After last night's episode, according to my notes, the only person who isn't either already murdered themselves or who doesn't have an alibi of being with others during a murder is the gardener. So, if the gardener isn't the killer, I have to go along with two or more people working together which I find very hard to believe.

I told you so, eh...:g:

I should have went with my first instinct...:INhouseReading04:

I believe Wakefield is working alone...except for that cute little white doggie. :girl_haha:

Madison tells the truth, it wasn't the sheriff at all who took her down in those tunnels...

John Wakefield is alive and well. He didn't die...Sheriff dies a horrible death but before he is killed he tells Abby she is not Wakefields child she is his and he loves her very much...

I thought Jimmy was a goner but seems the Sheriff spared his life for Jimmy's..

Last night, Abby, Sully, Danny, Henry, Nikki, Shea, Madison, Chloe and Cal were all inside the bar when Maggie was hanged. Jimmy and Abby were together running toward or inside the burning cabin when Cole was killed. Shane was with JD in jail when the deputy was killed.

Everyone else is dead except The Gardener and Robin Matthews, the girl at the newspaper.

Right?

I'm going to see if they've posted last night's episode yet and watch it again.

I've suspected the Sheriff, Henry, Maggie, Gigi (the dog).. looks like they're either all dead or have an alibi.. except that dang Gigi.. she still may be the culprit.

Oh.. and when it went off, there was a little tease about if the killer had been working alone or with someone. Hmmmm.. if he's working alone he's mighty strong to be able to overpower all of these people.
