The University of Florida Police Department, Gainesville, FL, is investigating the cold case homicide of Julie Ann Cohen.
On 3-1-77, Cohen’s body was found at the Austin Cary Forest located on Waldo Road between Gainesville and the City of Waldo, FL. Cohen was a Forestry graduate student and was found strangled and partially clad.
Cohen’s green 1974 Ford Pinto was parked by the entrance to her work area on the west side of Waldo Road. None of her personal items appeared to be missing. She was last seen alive the afternoon of 2-28-77.
