New Possible Madeleine Sighting in Malta
By Alethea Borgman.
Pensioners holidaying in Malta in March of this year, claim to have spotted Madeleine MCann playing in a square in Valletta, a British tabloid newspaper reported today.
The couple were so confident that the girl was Madeleine, they followed her - but lost her in the busy streets of the capital.
Brian White, 72, said:
“I can’t stop tormenting myself I didn’t do enough.”
This comes as the latest in a series of reported sightings in Malta that go back to 2007, when she first went missing.
Brian told the Sun (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/):
“She stood out because she was so blonde and fair skinned while the couple she was with were very dark.”
He added that the couple accompanying Madeleine
“grabbed the girl and hurried off”
as they detected they were being watched.
Brian called the Police whilst he and his wife Glenice, were still on holiday. The new sighting is being investigated by British officers.
This latest report is released as Gerry and Kate McCann are to record an interview with Oprah Winfrey in an attempt to breathe new energy into their publicity campaign. The show will be screened after May 3rd to mark the anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance in Praia da Luz, Portugal
