Two missing men may be in danger

Authorities are searching for two missing adults in Manatee County. Both are considered endangered and both have been missing since Saturday.

James Frances Allison, an 82-year-old white man, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 205 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and white checked short sleeve shirt and khaki pants.
Allison, who is affected by Alzheimer's disease, was last seen in the 6500 block of 26th Avenue West in Bradenton at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Allison has been taken into protective custody in the past for threats of suicide, according to the Bradenton Police Department. He is currently taking medications for depression but did not take the medications with him when he left, reports show.
Allison is believed to be driving a 2006 tan Mercury Monterey with Florida tag J24SKS.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Bradenton Police Department at 932-9300 or 911.

One missing Manatee County man found safe Sunday night

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- Sheriff's deputies found a 19-year-old man safe Sunday night after he was missing for about 24 hours after wandering off from the Ellenton ice complex Saturday night.

Joshua K. Hutchings, 19, who is mentally impaired, was found walking along Lakewood Ranch Boulevard Sunday night, and was returned safely to his mother, sheriff's spokesman Dave Bristow said.
Lakewood Ranch Boulevard is south of the Manatee River, while the ice complex is north of the river.
Authorities are still looking for another missing Manatee County man. James Francis Allison, 82, who has Alzheimer's Disease, was last seen about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of 26th Avenue West in Bradenton.

Bradenton man found after weekend search

BRADENTON — A Bradenton man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease who had not been seen since Saturday has been located.

A family member of James Allison, 82, who was reported missing at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, said he was found in Sarasota on Sunday.

Allison, who is diagnosed with a mild case of Alzheimer’s Disease, left his home while his wife was sleeping, police said. Allison had not taken his medication when he left, according to a police report.
