The Port Huron Police Department is looking for a 10-year-old boy missing from the 1700 block of Whipple Street.

Jared Lewandowski is 5 feet 3 inches, about 130 pounds with blondish brown hair and hazel eyes, said Port Huron Police Sgt. Duane Loxton.

He was last seen leaving his home on Whipple Street between 7:45 and 8 a.m.

Police believe a 10-year-old boy reported missing this morning was part of an organized plan to skip school.

Port Huron police Sgt. Duane Loxton said officers searched for Jared Lewandowski for more than three hours after he was reported missing from his home on the 1700 block of Whipple Street about 9 a.m.

The boy was located at a home on St. Clair Street about 12:21 p.m.

Loxton said three other children were also at the home skipping school.

Jared was located by a family member who was searching for one of his cousins.

I skipped school, never got caught but not at 10 years old.

ITA maybe the teens that choose to be missing (not taken etc) and return safely should have to spend some time doing community service working with loved ones that haven't found their missing ones yet. JMO
