PEORIA - Police are looking for a 6-year-old girl Peoria girl who went missing Saturday morning.

Alexis Brown was last seen at 11 a.m. in the 9600 block of W. Camino De Oro.

Dozens of Maricopa County and Peoria authorities are assisting in the search effort, combing the area for the little girl.

The girl's brother says that she was playing hide and seek earlier in the day, and may have left because she thinks she's in trouble.

Brown was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, lavender and white skirt, and yellow hat. She is 48 lbs.

Missing Peoria girl found safe at home

A six year old girl that went missing this morning has been found.

The girl told some friends at a park that she was going for a walk and then disappeared. When they could not find the girl her parents called police. MCSO brought in a search team including several K-9 units to search the neighborhood and surrounding area.

This afternoon around three, the girl was found inside a home. She had hidden in a closet and fell asleep.

Police and family say they looked in the closet several times but did not see the girl.
