Search continues for missing woman

Raleigh police are searching for missing 29-year-old Frieda Smith.
Authorities issued a Silver Alert for Smith Friday night.

She is described as an African American woman standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 220 pounds.

Smith was last seen wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, a white short-sleeve T-shirt and dark colored athletic shorts with white stripes.



Smith shaves her hair into either a fade or a close brush cut.
Anyone who sees Smith or who has information about her whereabouts is asked to call (919) 278-6363.

I truly feel that so many of those missing for such a long time may have been located if the papers and tv stations dedicated more time to mising persons and not hone in on just one or two at a time.

Raleigh, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert late Friday for a 29-year-old woman missing from a Raleigh group home.

Frieda Smith, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, was last seen at the Blessed Home Inc. on Edgetone Drive.

She is described as a black woman, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. Smith has short, black hair and brown eyes. She shaves her into either a fade or close brush. She has visible Psoriasis on her left elbow.

Smith was last seen wearing a New Yankees baseball cap, a white T-shirt, black athletic shorts with white pipes and sneakers.
Anyone who sees Smith, or who has information about her whereabouts, is asked to call 919-278-6363 or 911.

I wish they'd said she was okay or not. But at least she was found and not out there alone and in danger.
