Police in Forest Lake have been joined by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in the search for a local man who has not been seen since Thusday, May 21.
Chief of Police Clark Quiring said the whereabouts of Prince Theodore Tyler, III, 43, is a mystery. He was last seen driving a 2007 S550 Mercedes with temporary Florida license plates.
Quiring said Tyler was last seen by his wife at 1:30 a.m. on May 21 after he returned to their home on Imperial Avenue and left with $700 in cash. Police said Tyler had dinner with a friend earlier in the evening in Minneapolis.
The chief said police continue to follow a series of debit card transactions but are unsure if it is Tyler or someone else who is making the withdrawals.
Quiring said that from May 22 through May 25, a total of $3800 in cash had been withdrawn from Tyler’s debit card at an ATM machine in Minneapolis. All withdrawals were made in the late evening hours, the chief said.
In addition, the debit card was used to make purchases at the Mall of America in Bloomington with total value of $1736.
The chief said the disappearance is being handled as “suspicious.”
Anyone with information about the missing man is asked to contact the following: Bruce Peterson, investigator, Forest Lake Police Department, 651-209-9931 or by e-mail to 422@flpd.com.This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
