VIRGINIA BEACH - Police in Virginia Beach are asking for the public's help in locating a 36-year-old woman who has been missing since Monday morning.

Cynthia Channel was last seen around 8:30 a.m. Monday near Lynnhaven Parkway and Independence Boulevard. Margie Long, spokeswoman for Virginia Beach police, said Channel needs medication and does not have it with her.

Channel is 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds, with a prosthetic left arm. She was wearing a brown leather jacket. She is known to frequent the Oceanfront.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts can call police at 385-5000

Cynthia Channel, 36, was last seen Monday at 8:30 a.m. near Lynnhaven Parkway and Independence Boulevard, said Margie Long, spokeswoman for the Virginia Beach police. Channel is scheduled to take medication that she does not have with her.

She is described as black, 5-foot-7, about 180 pounds with medium-length dark hair and a prosthetic left arm. She was wearing a brown leather jacket when she was last seen, Long said.

Channel frequents the Oceanfront area, but does not have a car.

Anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of the two women is asked to call Virginia Beach emergency communications at (757) 385-5000. Information about Livingston also can be given to Detective Gary Klein at (757) 385-4101.

Virginia Beach police locate two missing women

VIRGINIA BEACH

Police have located two missing women today.

Virginia Beach police were asking for help in finding the two unrelated women who went missing in the past two days.

Late this afternoon, Virginia Beach police announced they had found both in neighboring cities.

Katie Lynne Marie Livingston, 20, was last seen Tuesday about 11:30 a.m. at the Sam's Club on Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, according to Margie Long, Virginia Beach police spokeswoman. Livingston works in Virginia Beach, but frequents the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake.

She was found in Chesapeake this evening in good condition, Long said shortly before 6 p.m. She was to be reunited with her family later tonight, Long said.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m. today, Norfolk police found Cynthia Channel, 36, who was last seen Monday at 8:30 a.m. near Lynnhaven Parkway and Independence Boulevard in Virginia Beach. Police asked for help finding Channel on Tuesday night when she was scheduled to take medication that she did not have with her.

Long said Channel was also in good condition and being put in contact with her family.
