This is the flesh eating disease. We have actually had several people here in San Antonio and Texas die of this stuff. I guess if these people where alive, they would let some skeptical physicians know this is not psychological.

They had a special on Channel 5 here and actually were showing what this mess looks like. Its horrible looking.

Seems these fibers that look like worms, in the skin are perhaps a genetic mutation to a rare bacterium that infects the skin. I saw a scientist who
analyzed genetic information from patients, and his theory was that somehow this bacterium stimulates junk DNA that we all carry, and that is what produces the filaments.

What I find disappointing is how the medical community scoffs at the poor people who contract this. Being called crazy is just cruel, IMO.

I've actually seen people with this stuff. Over time, it can look really, really, bad and most docs don't know how to treat it so many blow if off as mental.I guess those fibers that come up out of these infections are imaginary. :shock::rolleye0001:

Sometimes if docs don't know what it is, they blow it off because they don't want to be seen as not knowing anything. To me thats why in many cases people need to get 2nd, 3rd, how ever many opinions it takes!
