Police search for woman lost in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are searching for a 34-year-old woman who wandered away from a medical office on Friday.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says Deanna Johnson is mentally and physically challenged and they are concerned about her safety.

Johnson was last seen in at 3030 Randolph Road in the Carolinas Healthcare System plaza.

She was wearing blue jeans and a brown shirt.

Anyone who sees her should call 704-336-2311 or 911.

Charlotte police are actively looking a missing woman in south Charlotte.

The woman's name is Deanna Leigh Johnson. Police say she wandered away from a medical office at 3030 Randolph Road.

Around 4 p.m., officials brought in a canine from Union County to assist with the search.

The 34-year-old is mentally and physically challenged and there is some concern about her safety.

She is described as a white female, 5'6" tall, and weighs 240 lbs. She is heavy set and has brown hair and eyes.

Johnson was wearing blue jeans and a brown-colored shirt.

Woman missing in south Charlotte, found

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte police spent several hours Friday looking for a missing woman in south Charlotte.

Police said Deanna Leigh Johnson wandered away from a medical office at 3030 Randolph Road mid-morning.

Around 4 p.m., officials brought in a canine from Union County to assist with the search.

Since 34-year-old is mentally and physically challenged, officials were concerned about her safety.

As of 6 p.m. Friday, a spokeman for the Charlotte Fire Department said Johnson was found and is safe.
