GLENCOE, Ky. — Police have found five bodies — including three children — in a car that was submerged in a creek in rural northern Kentucky, but they do not think foul play was involved in the deaths.

The car was found in Eagle Creek near Kentucky 467 in Gallatin County, about 30 miles southwest of Cincinnati along the Ohio River. State police were called to the scene by local police at 4:30 p.m. EST on Thursday.

Authorities removed the car from the creek and found the bodies of two adults and three children inside. State police said the bodies had not been identified Thursday night.

State police said they don't suspect any foul play in the deaths.

The car had out-of-state plates, but police declined to identify the state, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Autopsies are scheduled for Friday.

News 5's Brian Hamrick reported that the victims are a Hamilton family last seen Dec. 27, when they drove to Sanders, Ky., where they planned to move.

A relative told News 5 that they had reported Glen and Kelly Johnson and their three children missing to Hamilton police, but the relative accused detectives of dragging their feet in the investigation.

I can't believe that no one was looking for them!! I'd have been standing on my head trying to find them. If they were reported missing to LE and nothing was done...

There was nothing on the local news about a missing family. I am so sad this was not out there. Not that it would have mattered but I can't believe there was a whole family missing from this area and it was not on the news.:1222423:

In that case, 5boxers, it's a real possibility that LE wasn't taking it seriously.

Sad but true Roamer. When the two elderly women were missing in this area they were on the news alot at first. Then when they were found. People in the area knew they were missing. No so with this family. Just so sad.:1222423:
