Thanks to employees of a hair salon noticing bruises and injuries to a 2 yr old child back on January, 8, a child was removed from her abusive home.

From the article: According to the husband's arrest affidavit, Christopher Cowan told police his wife had abused his 2-year-old daughter over three days, tying her wrists with shoestrings and hitting her with a belt for going "potty in her pants."

According to the document, witnesses from the salon contacted police Jan. 8 and said the family had come in for haircuts. Witnesses said they noticed the child's injuries and told the father he needed to take her to the hospital because "she looked sick." The husband said the child would be fine "as long as she was walking," the affidavit says.

People like these parents, shouldn't be able to breed. In this case, the step-mother was the primary abuser and the passive father just watched. Both parents are 23. I pray they never get this child back.

Had the people who saw the marks and bruises on this child chosen to turn their heads and not get involved, this child might be dead today. Its going to take all of us keeping our eyes and ears open to help kids that are going through this.

You're exactly right, Texas. It's up to everyone.

These folks did the right thing. They deserve an award.

The father and step-mother need their reproductive organs cut out with a dull knife.

What kind of coward ties up a two year old to beat her? I mean beating a baby is sick enough, but they had to tie her up?! And for what? a potty training accident? I gotta stop opening these threads, that's just despicable.

Thank goodness someone stood up for the 2 y/o. Most likely, they saved that child's life.
Wonder if that step-mother would do her on bio-child that way? Sick! These people are sick and I agree, they DO NOT NEED TO BREED!
Why can't child abusers be made sterile? I think it is the best way to stop some of these monsters.
