When this guy killed the other driver, he had told authorities he had consumed cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and 11 beers before he got in the car to drive. This was his 3rd DUI and he only got six years.
The DUI history was provided by his attorney when interviewed on tv and of course, the attorney felt he should have been given probation. I guess so he could kill another person, if not himself while driving DUI again in the future.
San Antonio is #6 in the United States for DUI's. In car accidents in our city where people are killed or severely injured, 99.9% of those accidents occur because one or both drivers are DUI. If anyone reading this posts gets behind the wheel having drank one beer and drives, please think about it next time.
In about 3 yrs, with good behavior, this man will be back out on our streets again. Hopefully, he will have had time to think about what his actions caused. His victim will never see another tomorrow.
