Has anyone heard it yet?Yep, and I agree that it does. Maybe that was why it wasn't released.

The same thing happened with George Harrison and his song "My Sweet Lord" which sounds a lot like "He's So Fine". I think sometimes a song writer gets a tune in his head and doesn't realize it's another tune.

I don't hear the difference, Ann. Maybe I am tone deaf cuz i remember when that lawsuit was brought about and I didn't hear it back then as well.

It is the same melody as Horse with No Name. MJ got permission from the group America to use it. The words are different. Many artists have done this and some just do the same song in a re-release. He supposedly has several songs that he recorded. He had one album complete and another almost complete. I heard about this on Nightline.

oh so he did receive permission!! Thank you so much for explaining this as I thought it sounded so much like Horse With no Name. I knew the words were different because I sang the song and his words were different than what was coming out of my mouth! :g:
