This afternoon I was watching an old episode of Law & Order, "Red Ball" (2005). The part of the primary villain was played by James LeGros. I don't remember seeing him before... not that he doesn't have a respectable "filmography" that I found when I researched.

Now to the reason I bothered to research. Throughout the show I was distracted every time LeGros had a scene. He was reminding me of someone and I couldn't remember who... then, late in the episode and I was watching the way he uses his mouth and eyes when it hit me. He looked a great deal (to me at least) like Richard Widmark.... way younger of course. So, I was curious if perhaps this actor was a second generation thespian. Apparently not, however, I still think there's a resemblance... what do you think?

I've read where he's been compared to Brad Pitt too.

From eyebrows down, I can see where you'd see Widmark, but, forehead up reminds me of Warren Beatty.

I wish I had two film clips for you to see and compare. It was mannerisms as much as just looks.

Widmark had a unique way with his lips and this guy seemed to have the same.

I'll have to look for a way to get Law & Order, "Red Ball" (2005) episode on demand. LOL

I figured it had a lot to do with how he moved. I used to watch a lot of Law and Order, until got started watching trash.

My initial reaction was Warren Beatty too. But I know what you mean about mannerisms. I loved Richard Widmark.

His face (and name) looks vaguely familiar to me but I don't remember what he played in. From his photo I'm guessing a cowboy?

He reminds me a bit of David Duchovny, but I do see the resemblance to Richard Widmark also.

I think he looks a LOT like Richard Widmark! It to me is amazing! And resembles Warren, too. Ben Stiller, no. Not to me. I LOVE Ben Stiller! I watch all his movies over and over and laughed like it was the first time.
