Search on for SLC woman, 48, missing in Bald Mountain area

Summit County Search and Rescue crews are searching the Bald Mountain area for missing 48-year-old Gina Trujillo, a resident of Salt Lake City.

She was last seen on July 25 at the Soapstone Campground between 11 a.m. and noon. Family members reported her missing on the evening of July 26. At 10 a.m. Monday morning, police located her car at the Bald Mountain Trailhead.

The Department of Public Safety helicopter and the American Search Dogs are assisting in the search.

Searchers are combing the Uinta Mountains east of Kamas for a Salt Lake County woman who was last seen by a camp attendant at the Soapstone campground Saturday.

Gina Trujillo, 48, was reported missing to the Summit County Sheriff's Office Sunday evening. Her vehicle was found parked at the Bald Mountain trailhead at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Volunteer Summit County Sheriff's Office searchers, American Search Dogs and a state Department of Public Safety helicopter pilot were participating in Monday's search, which began at about 10 a.m.

"We just barely got guys on scene," said Detective Ron Bridge, of the Summit County Sheriff's Office, in a telephone interview. "It first came in as an overdue party."

Bridge said Trujillo was camping by herself in the Uintas Saturday.

He was unsure whether she was prepared to spend another night in the woods

"She was camping when she was last seen so it just depends on what she put into her pack," Bridge said.

Trujillo was expected to have returned when her daughter reported her missing.

Search teams looking in the Bald Mountain area for missing woman

SUMMIT COUNTY -- Search teams are looking a remote area of Summit County for a missing Salt Lake City woman. Family members last saw Gina Ramos Trujillo, 48, at the Soapstone Campground Saturday just before noon.
Monday morning, deputies found her vehicle at the Bald Mountain trailhead, but at this point there is no sign of her.
Trujillo is 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a light brown T-shirt and tennis shoes. If you have seen Trujillo, you are asked to call the Summit County Sheriff's Office at 435-615-3600.

Searchers find SLC woman missing in Uintas

A Salt Lake City woman who had been missing in the Uinta Mountains since Saturday has been found in good condition.

Gina Trujillo, 48, was located by Summit County Search and Rescue crews at 7:45pm in the Holiday Park area of the Uinta Mountains, according to a Summit County Sheriff's Department press release.
