Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 73-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since Monday evening.
Donald Peetoom called his wife around 9:15 p.m., telling her he had crashed his silver 2002 Chevrolet ½ ton extended cab pickup into a ditch, according to Deputy Dawn Barkman, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.
Peetoom was disoriented and was not able to provide his location before the call was lost, Barkman said.

Deputies have been searching for Peetoom to no avail. Search and rescue personnel were also called out, along with a helicopter.
Peetoom is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and has a heavy build. He wears glasses and has thinning hair, Barkman said.
He was wearing a gray shirt with the words “Marana Water” on it.
The license plate on Peetoom’s truck is OR8C4.
