From KCPD: JOSSETTE J. BEEKS, B/F, 40 YOA, 5’6”tall, 156#, black hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing lite blue T- shirt, blue and white checkered shorts and flip flop shoes. She left 12th and Woodland on 7-29-2009 about 2025 hours in a gold 1997, Jeep Grand Cherokee, temp tags, to go to Speedy’s at 9th and Prospect and hasn’t been seen since. Banks is reported to suffer the effects of several strokes and may appear confused or dazed. If located, notify Missing persons at 816-234-5136 or relatives at 314-243-3695.

KC woman reported missing

Kansas City police asked for the public’s help today in finding a 40-year-old woman who went missing after a trip to a store Wednesday.

Jossette J. Beeks may appear dazed and confused as the result of several strokes, police said. She was last seen leaving 12th Street and Woodland Avenue about 8:25 p.m. Wednesday and was headed to Speedy’s at Ninth Street and Prospect Avenue. She was in a gold 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with temporary tags.

Beeks is described as black, 5-foot-6 and about 156 pounds. She was wearing a light-blue T-shirt, blue-and-white checkered shorts and flip-flops.

Anyone with information should call the missing persons detective at 816-234-5136 or relatives at 314-243-3695.

KC woman says she wasn't missing

A Kansas City woman reported missing on Friday has been located.

Jossette J. Beeks, 40, told police early this morning that she's in good health and doesn't know why her family reported her missing.

Family members called police on Friday, saying Beeks hadn't been seen since Wednesday.
