Trenton has been missing 3 years!

The 911 call came in at 9:16 PM when Trenton was reported missing. It will be 3 years tomorrow. Doesn't seem like it at all. I don't feel older. I often wonder, is Trenton older?

Please God tell me that he has grown so fast and has a lot of friends. Tell me that he is happy and well. Tell me that he is living with a family who loves him and protects him. Please tell me that he remembers he is loved by his family. Please tell me he will be home soon with his family who love and miss him so much.

I always wonder if Melinda sent Trenton to family before she committed suicide. I do hope he is older, has made many friends and is okay...:give_rose:

I think about Trenton all the time and wonder what he must look like as a big boy. I pray he is with someone who loves him and is taking good care of him, but I want him back with his family.

I remember very clearly the night Trenton went missing. I just knew he would be found quickly. Three years have passed so fast and we still don't have him home.

I pray he is safe and being taken care of. I do hope his daddy will find him one day and bring him home where he belongs.

Josh Duckett to hold vigil for missing son


2:57 p.m. EDT, August 26, 2009

LEESBURG - The father of Trenton Duckett, the Leesburg toddler who went missing in 2006, will hold a candlelight vigil on Thursday in downtown Leesburg to mark the third anniversary of his son's disappearance.

The vigil will start at 8 p.m. at Leesburg City Hall, on West Main Street, between Fifth and Sixth streets.

Trenton Duckett was reported missing by his mother, Melinda Duckett, from the bedroom of their Leesburg apartment on Aug. 27, 2006.

Melinda shot herself at her grandparents' home in The Villages about a month later. Trenton's father, Josh Duckett, was estranged from Melinda Duckett.

Josh Duckett said the vigil is to help bring awareness to missing children and help families with their searches. Leesburg Police investigators plan to attend Thursday's vigil.
