body parts found in the city next to a 'blue container.'

NOTHING has been confirmed, not even whether the body parts belong to a man or a woman.

Will keep everyone abreast after the 6:00p.m. news tonight.

I hope its her, just to get this case solved. I feel she has been dead since she was reported missing.

A long time news anchor died last night due to head injuries he suffered when he crashed on a snowmobile, (hit a tree; he was only 44 years old) so all of the stations are covering this story.

I hope there will be more information on the body parts found.

Wonder how long it will take to determine age, sex, etc. I'll be watching your thread for news, Rockford. Thanks for letting us know, because there was nothing on the evening news, probably because it's nothing certain.

At this point, her family needs at least some closure.

They don't know at this point if the body parts are of a man or a woman. Or even a small child. I promise to let everyone know just as soon as I hear of anything.

Frozen Remains on Southwest Side

Chicago police are conducting a death investigation after human remains were found on the Southwest Side.

Police say an unresponsive body was found in the 34-hundred block of South Kedzie Avenue near the Chicago River.

Police in west suburban Lyons say it was an inspector conducting a daily inspection of construction sites in the Chicago metropolitan area who first observed what he believed to be a human foot and and a human leg. He also reported seeing a blue garbage can near the area where the remains were found.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.

Where is this in relation to Bolingbrook? Also...unresponsive? Did he think it would get up and walk?:waitasec:

I saw it while googling for news. I saw that LE will be charging the driver (a friend). Sad. I wonder if this is what the victim and his family would want?

I heard him too and would love for him to be wrong! Sadly I don't think Stacy is alive and it would just be nice now to have her remains found and charge Brodsky's client with murder. At least that's my wishful thinking.

On Nancy Grace she said they will have to run DNA tests to be sure.

They did show an over head image that had what looked like a blue barrel and maybe 30 feet into the trees they were crowed around what I assume to be the remains.

The body was possibly that of a child, but the remains were badly decomposed and no determination had been made on the sex or identity of the victim.

An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday morning.

Unconfirmed reports said the remains were found near a blue barrel in a field near the Chicago River. Mullins said when Chicago Police arrived there was no blue barrel on or near the scene where the remains were found.

I did hear today on CNN that the Illinois State Police consider DP the prime suspect for Savio's death which has now been ruled a homicide. Apparently, they have more info and proof then we all know about. They are keeping it under wraps and this is good when it comes to DP ever being tried for murder.

I wonder who would get the older 2 kids and the younger ones if he goes to prison.

I do believe beyond a doubt, DP will be brought and I would love to see the smirk and cocky arrogant attitude stifled.

The latest:

The body appears to be of a young woman. There WAS a blue container of some sort found near the body parts. That is really anyone really knows right now.

The area where the body parts were found? I know exactly where that is and yes, good hiding place. If anyone is familiar with Willow Springs, IL where Diane Masters was found dead in her car which was thrown into the canal.

Makes me doubt that it's Stacy, because if the body has been there all this time, why wasn't it found before this?

This area is not a place where people hang out. Not gang members, bored teenagers or anything like that. It's a canal. Nothing to see and nothing to do. A remote area if you will.

The worker from Lyons, IL only found the remains because he was there to do some kind of job.

Thanks for clarifying that, Rock. I don't see how that "official", who wasn't even identified, can say then that it isn't Stacy. I'll be watching for autopsy results.

Being out in the weather could change haircolor, I'd think. And going from blonde to reddish isn't that unusual. Someone with naturally dark hair that goes blonde will often show reddish tendencies.

I needed to turn on CLTV news and was able to find out that on that channel, reporters are careful about what they say.

They are still sticking to the story about waiting until the autospy report and they did report the color of the hair.

They also reported that DP 'angrily" walked out of an interview, (hence, my link above) when asked about a 'blue container."

I watched the interview, and he doesn't appear to be 'angry' as much as his usual arrogant self. JMO

I just got home and saw this reported. I'm disappointed. Not that I want anyone dead. I just wanted closure for Stacy or Lisa. It means someone else has been killed. :(

I don't think that is the case here. DP is just another killer. He's always angry.

Drew is oblivious to the fact that others have a completely different view of Stacy and love and miss her very much. To Drew, Stacy was an object. One he must have tired of.

That being said, I'm still not at all sure how DP will be charged with a possible murder in the Savio case. He went to extraordinary lengths to distance himself from her home and even got a neighbor and a locksmith involved. He's sly like a fox. But like a rabid animal, he needs confined, quarantined, and removed from society so he does not "infect" others.

gots to be careful with our wording. I believe that *sometimes* that SOME officers need to hold their emotions as they see things that only some of us read about. With that said, there are some peeps who really believe that Stacy walked away and that DP is not guilty. Insert, husband here. :0001:

I say that if THAT was the case, then why doesn't DP hire a private detective to find her and clear his name?

It was a surprise hearing DP's attorney Brodsky declare he could guarantee the body found was not Stacey's.

Anyone else wondering how he could have so certain and go so far as to guarantee it wasn't her?

nobody knows, Pat. She disappeared as well and nobody can find her either. She lost 2 children though.....big difference, but Stacey's husband doesn't see it that way.
