MARQUETTE -- Police are searching for a Marquette man after he was reported missing Sunday evening.
Marquette Police and the Marquette County Sheriffs Department are searching the area near his home.
Chaplin Cinelli was last seen wearing blue jeans and a tan hooded jacket. He has dark hair and a beard, and also wears glasses.
He was last heard from Saturday in the early morning hours. When his parents returned home, Cinelli was not there and he had left behind his wallet and cell phone.
"We are aware that his dog, the family dog, ended up at a neighbors house off leash," says Captain Gordon Warchock of the Marquette City Police. "It's possible that he went looking for the dog in the woods and became disoriented and that's why were searching the wooded areas around Shiras Hills."
If you've seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Marquette City Police Department at 228-0400.
