Brighton - A missing alzheimer's patient is now being treated at UAB after he's found alive in the woods in Brighton.

Around 3p.m. Tuesday Birmingham firefighters were called out to a heavily wooded area off of Ontario Street. That's where they found 75 year-old William Camp lying face down in the mud next to a creek. Camp vanished on Saturday. But thanks to his Project Lifesaver bracelet, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were able to track him down. Deputies used an antenna and a hand held remote to follow the bracelet's signal.

"The signal was always strong along the creek bank and I was afraid we were going to find the worst. But I was very relieved when I saw him," says Deputy Robert Green, JeffCo. Sheriff's Office.

Some Ontario Street residents say without the bracelet, Camp may not have been found alive.

"I don't think anyone would have found him because really don't anyone go back there," says Khadijah Hilleary, neighbor.

"It's awesome. I think everybody who has alzheimers should have a bracelet," says Darlene Conner, neighbor.
