HAMILTON - Police are looking for a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing by her mother and may be with a 34-year-old ex-convict.
The teen has been missing since Tuesday.
Jenna Simone is described as 5-foot-2-inches tall and 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Her mother, Brenda Orlando, told Hamilton police that her daughter may be with James Patrick Rogers. He is described as 6-foot-two-inches and 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Rogers was convicted at age 21 of aggravated burglary in 1996. Less than a year into his sentence he was charged with escape and drug abuse. In 2002 he convicted again with attempted escape from the Noble Correctional Institution, about an hour and a half east of Columbus.
Rogers was convicted of drug abuse again in 2004 and was caught with drugs while on probation for that crime.
Police believe the two are somewhere in the Hamilton area.

Hamilton teen still missing, police no longer seeking ex-con
Updated 3:26 PM Saturday, October 10, 2009
HAMILTON — Police are still looking for a missing 15-year-old girl, but not a man recently released from prison who was being sought in connection with her disappearance.
Hamilton Police located James Patrick Rogers today, Oct. 10, in reference to Jenna Simone of Hamilton — who left her home on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and never returned — and say there is no indication Rogers was involved in her going missing.
Simone has not been located and remains missing, according to a release from police Lt. Gerald Martin.
Simone is described as white; five feet, two inches tall; and 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Simone is believed to be in the Hamilton area, according to police.
Police said the teen’s mother, Brenda Orlando, had originally indicated that her daughter may be with Rogers.
Rogers, 34, was released on parole from prison Sept. 27 after serving 10 months for aggravated burglary and other charges, according to the Ohio Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. It was the third time Rogers had been sentenced to prison after being convicted of felonies, according to prison records.
Anyone with information about Simone is urged to call the Hamilton Police Dispatch Center at (513) 868-5811 ext.

hmm, if she is not with him then where is she? Did she run away from home or is there foul play involved. Guess LE ruled this guy out as being involved in any way. Seems like the mother would have a reason for saying her daughter may be with this James Patrick Rogers.
Prayers she is located or returns home soon.

Missing Hamilton teen found hiding in attic
By Eric Bradley • ebradley@enquirer.com (ebradley@enquirer.com) • October 11, 2009
A Hamilton teen missing since Tuesday was found in the company of an ex-convict who was initially identified as a person of interest.
Jenna Simone, 15, was found at 5 p.m. Sunday hiding in the attic of a building on Goodman Avenue on the west side of Hamilton, police said. She was arrested and charged with being a runaway and obstructing official business.
She was with James Rogers, 34, who has been imprisoned multiple times. He was convicted at age 21 of aggravated burglary in 1996. Less than a year into his sentence for that crime he was charged with escape and drug abuse.
Rogers was released from the Warren Correctional Institution on Sept. 27, where he had been serving time for charges that included aggravated burglary, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
Hamilton Police said earlier in the weekend that they were no longer looking for Rogers in connection with Jenna. Police on Sunday confirmed that, but could not say more and would not comment on the nature of the relationship between Jenna and Rogers.
Rogers was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held in Butler County Jail pending a hearing in Hamilton Municipal Court.

Glad she was found safe and sound.
Doesn't she realize at her age she need not be with a man who is twice her age, a convicted felon and on the run?
I'm glad she's home...

I thought he might be lying when they said she wasn't with him. Turns out I was right (for once).
Glad she is safe.
