BYRON CENTER -- A worrisome weekend for friends and family of a pair of 25-year-olds ended with everyone appearing to be safe and sound, according to family members.

Raquel Mayhanagian left her home Friday evening to meet Travis Ghent, with whom she lists on her Facebook Page as having a relationship.

Mayhanagian and Ghent were finally heard from Sunday evening in Connecticut, according to family members. Police have not confirmed that the alert is ended yet.

Both are safe, according to Ghent's father, Kenneth Ghent.

Mayhanagian's father Gary Mayhanagian, said he wants to see his daughter safe and sound at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport before he decides, but in his brief conversation with his daughter, it appears everything's OK.

Kent County Sheriff's Department investigators said there were indications that Ghent may harm himself in a phone call he placed Saturday morning.

"I don't know where that came from," Kenneth Ghent said Sunday evening. "This was two 25-year-olds who went away for a few days and didn't tell their parents."

"There's really nothing here," he said.

Mayhanagian is less certain.

"I don't really know for sure yet what exactly happened," Mayhanagian said.

Byron Township woman who went missing last week requests personal protection order for ex-boyfriend

BYRON TOWNSHIP -- A 25-year-old woman who went missing for three days after she met with her ex-boyfriend -- both finally turning up Sunday in Connecticut -- now has requested a personal protection order against him.

Police said Mayhanagian went missing Friday, then contacted family members late Sunday from Connecticut.

State police records do not show any criminal charges filed against Ghent, a man Kent County sheriff's investigators earlier described as someone who may harm himself. Local authorities continue to investigate the case.

Kent County Circuit Court records indicate two women recently filed for PPOs against Ghent. Mayhanagian's request, filed today, is pending before a judge while another woman was granted a restraining order against him early last month.
