Police concerned over missing Portage man

PORTAGE — State police at Ebensburg have issued an alert for a missing 28-year-old disabled Portage man who was last seen around 2 p.m. Friday.

Police said that Joseph James Regalbuto reportedly has not been taking his medication. He was last seen at the Sheetz Store in Portage.

The police said that Regalbuto had been making statements recently that the police were after him, but there is no report of any warrant for his arrest.

He is 5-feet, nine inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes and weighing 190 pounds. Anyone with information has been asked to call the police at 471-6500.

The article doesn't say what type of disability this man has. Since he has been making statements that the police are after him, and he hasn't been taking his medication,I'm wondering if it's mental.

I hope he is found soon.

The search continued Monday for a Cambria County disabled man who has been missing since Friday afternoon.

Joseph James Regalbuto, 28, is about 5' 9" tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. Friends said he is much thinner than in the attached photo and said his face is somewhat sunken in.

Regalbuto, who is without medication he needs, was last seen at a Sheetz store in Portage Borough around 2 p.m. Some said he made several statements recently that the police were after him, but state police said they could not find any warrants listed under his name.

Anyone who has seen Regalbuto is asked to call Pennsylvania state police at 471-6500.

A disabled Cambria County man who was missing since Friday has been found safe in Portage.

Joseph James Regalbuto, 28, was last seen at a Sheetz store in Portage Borough around 2 p.m. He phoned state police Monday afternoon after seeing his photo on television.

Some said he made several statements recently that the police were after him, but state police said they could not find any warrants listed under his name.
